Dear CDPR, please give us a New game + mode Posted: 30 Aug 2021 01:17 PM PDT I'm playing this game since release, wasn't amongst those unhappy with it, didn't asked for my money back, but straight away played it and loved it!! There were a few bugs, that maybe were frustrating, and still are. But nevertheless can say that i barely played a better game than this. Character's, story, atmosphere, the way the quests were done, on where you also play side quests that never feel like some, but are interesting and often hard to say it's just a sidequest. The soundtrack, the world. This game was/is just an awesome experience to me! Jonny Silverhand, who adds something special to it, great. Here i have finished a walkthrough already, and after the lastest patch and me now playing on PS5, felt like just starting another. But now playing it again, i feel a bit pity, that there is a lot of cool items, cars, etc, that you get very late on in this game, can't enjoy them that much, that i just love you to add a new game +, that allows us to start with all things we achieved on our first run. That would be pure awesomeness and beg you to please make it happen :) ASAP :D Sincerely, a fan, that not only loved the witcher game, but also fall in love with CP2077. P.S. You should truly think about creating a multiplayer game! As there aren't many good ones to me out there (imo), knowing a company with your creativity, skill would do one, would be something coming off like a dream :) Even a CP77 online game ala GTA would be just fantastic :) Please keep up the good work!! And never fade away :) [link] [comments]

In defense of Gigs and police missions Posted: 30 Aug 2021 07:22 AM PDT So I beat the game when it came out, main story + important side missions, I only did a few gigs. It was cool but left the sour taste in my mouth because it was really buggy and unstable. I re-installed the game after 1.3 came out and have been doing only side stuff, I played as a stealthy hitman so that I could observe the world and missions more methodically. TLDR: It is not ground-breaking but it has a lot more substance than people give it credit for. People who designed these missions deserved a lot more praise, they certainly didn't make "low effort MMO mobs" like many people suggested. Level Design: Why is nobody talking about how well the gigs and most police activities are designed? There are always several approaches you can take, several ways in which to achieve your objective. Enemies patrol the area and have conversations. There is an amazing mission on top of a shanty-town by the river, jumping across rooftops like a ninja and taking out mobsters felt incredible there, enemies were on 3 different levels of elevation. It was way more fun than half-empty strongholds in Far Cry 5 for example. Missions are very well contained, dense and packed with enemies and loot, nothing revolutionary but very enjoyable to clear, which is the purpose, no? Story: Each and every gig and police activity has a short story behind it, you always find data-shards with the backstory of what happened and story-appropriate items and bodies/cybernetics around the scene (just like finding a dead body with a letter on it next to a monster den in Witcher 3). You know, environmental storytelling. Let me give you an example. I go into a parking garage for a random police activity. There I find some goons arguing, pissed at each-other. Music suddenly changes to a track I haven't heard before, it was kinda ominous. I kill them and in the boxes next to their van there are some pretty high end cybernetics(I think it was berserk and time-slow one). Data shard reveals that it was an edgerunner shipment meant for something big, the stuff was being moved buy one guy so gangsters thought it was an easy job. Turns out the guy was a decked out solo, half of his body was combat-enhanced cyberware. He took out two before going down. It was their big job, the one to send them into the "big leagues" but it turns out they bit more than they could chew, they faced the real big shots and barely got out alive. I kinda felt bet for killing them. There is a nice little story there with a great display of the lore/atmosphere of this world. All of that in a simple police mission, not even a gig. That is pretty damn good if you ask me. [link] [comments]

3080 users: what kind of performance are you guys getting at 1440p ultra w/ RTX? Posted: 30 Aug 2021 06:58 PM PDT I find it odd because in 4K with DLSS on performance, I usually get 50-65 FPS. Whereas with ultra performance it stays above 60 FPS In 1440p however, it's basically the same performance. Although DLSS doesn't add any extra benefit past Quality. So I see the same performance in Quality as I do in Ultra Performance. Utilization appears to go down with every tick on DLSS as expected. But performance is still the same. Thermals are completely fine and neither my GPU or CPU are bottlenecking. Is the game just poorly optimized for 1440p? I don't see my cpu being an issue because I've got a 3900XT. Any settings you recommend to help me stay above 60fps while hardly sacrificing any visual appeal? I'd appreciate any help I can get. [link] [comments] |
