...and that's not fearmongering. At least in the first world, you don't have people stealing your organs for cash, but we're getting there.

When I heard about this event I thought it'd be "fun" to isolate what makes cyberpunk "cyberpunk," and write out where we are by comparison. Well, it started out that way. Later it turned into a political rant.

You can view the full report here. And if you're planning on living in the US for any extended period of time in your life from here-on, you definitely should read it.

Not that I expect any of you will. Definitely not in full. This is reddit, after all - you're part of the problem.

Vote for the progress of technology without the stench of capitalism!

Weed out inequality and drive down profits for the good of humanity!

(Unless the profits are for video game companies gamers rise up etc etc etc.)
