Weekly Megathread: FAQ & Simple Questions Posted: 12 Jul 2021 03:00 AM PDT Hey! This is our weekly FAQ & Simple Questions thread that will be posted at 6am EST every Monday. Notes: - Use this thread for all of your simple/short questions. - Posts submitted with the question flair will be redirected here. - If you want to post a question to trigger a discussion, we suggest using the discussion flair instead. (e.g a question about lore fits the Discussion flair more than the Question flair) Each week, we'll aim to add the most frequently asked questions to the thread itself and we'll look for a way to reward members who actively answer questions from other members. Posted: 12 Jul 2021 06:11 AM PDT Honestly, whenever someone puts up a post on this subreddit that isn't about bugs and is instead simply appreciating something they saw or felt in game, there's this specific large group who take offense and start to 'critique' out of context, just for the sake of saying how the game is beyond saving when it fails to the core. The core of the game will never change because that's the type of game it is. And if you don't like it, then that's okay as well, since nobody is forcing you. It's simply not your type of game and this happens to everyone. Some people love first person shooters, but hate side scroller and vice versa. While others love linear stories and despise RPGs and vice versa. None of them are wrong to dislike a certain genre. I get why everyone cannot like something as everyone has different tastes. But why torture yourself and others on the subreddit of a game which you have no intention of ever appreciating or ever replaying it either? What exactly is the end goal? Ensure that everyone hates it as much as you do? Then what? I'm not saying to turn a blind eye thinking this game is perfect. Yes, there are many ways it can improve (just like every game out there), and feedback is one of the ways to achieve the end product one desires. But it no longer is feedback when the intent behind is nothing short of hate. These people despise the game (for some reason) to an extent, that even if CDPR remakes it exactly how they want it, they still wouldn't be content with the end product and would have the same attitude later. Hence, what's the point of hijacking each post on this subreddit that has nothing to do with bugs, glitches or negative feedback? Honestly, if you spent a fraction of the effort you make in finding problems in the game in order to despite it , and redirect it to just enjoying the experience, you would have a different outlook one day. I kinda gave up.. now 1 weeks ago my girfriend started playing the game and got me back into it and damnnn..did it get so much better in every regard no crashes okay a few bugs none imersion breaking.. i just want to thank the devs and for sticking with the game and improving it so much i hope we will see the game become what its original vision was.. Thank you keep up the good work, we all make mistakes and im 100% sure this game still has the potential to become one of the best games there is. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jul 2021 09:12 PM PDT After trying 3 Life paths, it feels like the StreetKid one was the original life path of the game and the other 2 were added later. Everything about the StreetKid life path fits perfectly into the game. [link] [comments]
For a world that's so technically advanced, I'm let down with how grounded it is in game design. Posted: 12 Jul 2021 02:52 PM PDT The best example I can give is buying cars. There's like 50 of them scattered around the world waiting to be bought and they are each unique and cool looking. But even though I like buying these cars, I hate the way you buy them. Instead of ordering it through your fixer you have to drive all the way to where they're parked. There is also no way of knowing what the specs are on those cars like speed and weight. In addition, the waymarker for cars are generalised as a quest location and doesn't show what the car looks like. If you want to know, you have to search through all your fixer's messages to find the car they have for sale. CDPR, why can't I just order the car on the net? It would've been 100 times easier if I could've just opened my car tab and buy all the cars from there. You can't tell me that the net is not well developed enough to allow such means. This problem ripples through the world of Cyberpunk. You have dozens of stores, stripclubs and bars yet the net seems to be useless other than checking emails, calling chooms and reading informative webpages. I get that you want to motivate players to get out and explore but that eagerness to shop is lost quickly as clearing sidequests and enemy camps is lots more interesting and fun. Not expecting this to change in Cyberpunk 2077 but would be nice for the sequel or something that works I hope. [link] [comments]

How to finish Goodbye, Night City gig with bonus objective of not killing anyone Posted: 12 Jul 2021 10:23 PM PDT I noticed the Goodbye, Night City gig is a bit glitchy (or maybe not). To finish the bonus objective, do not dump any of your non-lethal takedown "bodies" into containers (bins or closets or fridges - maybe they would suffocate :P). The outside guards I took down, I took outside of the compound. The interior guards that were in the way I put in the small server room, AFTER I closed the security room's door leading to the courtyard (otherwise enemies can see through "walls" even if you close the server room's door). Keep an eye on the "Do not kill any Millitech personnel" optional objective as you make your way through the compound. If it disappears, you failed it. That's how I figured out what action caused the failure. And might I just say. I love this game. Halfway through and barely came across some minor glitches that can be worked out. But I'm not looking to debate why people complain all the time. Got better things to do. Like play the game. [link] [comments]
