Just finished Cyberpunk 2077, the main story was way too short and felt rushed Posted: 10 Jul 2021 02:08 PM PDT I don't think the game is shit like most people here do. But its definitely very flawed. The main story for an example was just so short and rushed, when you finally get to Hanako it seems like at least half of the story remains but then immediately the last mission begins with no real build up at all. Its like they ran out of time. I liked Johnny Silverhand actually but I would have preferred more focus on V as a character. He seemed bland in comparison. TW3 was about Geralt and Ciri and managed to handle both well for an example The side quests were pretty lacking apart from a few exceptions too, just mindless shooting with no interesting story like in The Witcher 3. Posted: 10 Jul 2021 10:50 AM PDT SPOILER! SPOILER! SPOILER! I warned you already, if you haven't yet played the game and planning to, stop reading. Alright, here it is. . . So I just started the game for the first time. Are we supposed to feel sad about Jackie's passing? The mission I had with him before the Konpeki incident doesn't hold so much bearing for me to be attached to his character, compared to my horse in Red Dead Redemption 2. I just felt "Eh" I don't know, I think CDPR waste a TON of meaningful missions on the fast forward of 6 months. Oh mannnn, I'm kinda nervous about the coming missions. And no, I don't read enough reviews, I want to experience it without spoiling myself. [link] [comments]

Who else haaaated Buck (the champion of Arroyo)? Posted: 10 Jul 2021 01:23 PM PDT God it was so satisfying to win against him and rub it in his face. Seriously, fuck that guy. Razor Hugh was kind of a dick too. I loved El Cesar. I let him keep his car and the money. Rhino was kind of cool too. The twins were straight-up comedic relief. [link] [comments]

Just finished the game, here's why it rocks Posted: 10 Jul 2021 03:50 PM PDT Disclaimer, on a PC. Ultimately I think people held this game to an imaginary standard, expecting absolute perfection. Some of the things I saw people moan about made me wonder, if we held other GOTY titles to these, would they pass? I think not. I can pick a million holes in RDR2 and BOTW, but they're great games. Ultimately, I think CP2077 is the same. The characters are superbly well written. They have weight, well written dialogue, incredible models. From a storytelling perspective the characterisation is superb. The world is atmospheric. This game feels like a movie at so many moments, the combination of the spectacular visuals and narrative give set pieces gravitas. The gameplay is flawed, inherently. But so are many great games, Mass Effect for example, I'd say the 2nd instalment is one of the finest PC games ever. The gameplay was not ground-breaking, Cyberpunk was more interesting in that regard imo...But Mass Effect was carried by narrative and storytelling, like Cyberpunk. Red Dead 2 suffers the same fate, and Cyberpunk is miles more fun to play than that game, combat wise. Red Dead 2, had the most generic combat ever, it could have been implemented on a PS1. No huge backlash? Because people didn't have some imaginary standard, whereby every facet of the game was measured against perfection. Ultimately I think there were real issues, bugs and so on, but also a massive crowd of whiners. People expecting the second coming, it's a goddamned video game. Take it for what it is. And in my opinion what it is is an absolutely superb single player experience that rivals botw, red dead 2, and other acclaimed games in recent memory, [link] [comments]

Do we know if there are any plans to add public transport in the form of busses or trams etc? Posted: 10 Jul 2021 08:55 AM PDT Do we know if there are any plans to add public transport in the form of busses or trams etc? As I have been exploring the city I have noticed that quite a few "lanes" on roads have two coloured lined routes. Almost as if depictions of a tram or bus route. I have only managed to find one bus in the game and it's just a non functional model sat in a garage. As I drive around night city the more I follow these different coloured routes the more it seems to make sense that there were plans to have a bus/tram network.but for whatever reason this never came to fruition. I have not really seen many folk discussing this and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this or give their thoughts on how they would enjoy this added feature if it was implemented. Night city is beautiful and full of potential! Have a great day chooms, and see ya in the major leagues! Edit: I am aware of the fast travel system [link] [comments]
