5 months later: still 0 additional content, no game systems rework.

    Posted: 16 May 2021 02:52 AM PDT

I liked this game and I was not part of the ones who shitted on it at launch, but I would never thought that things will be like this 5 months later: litteraly not a single drop of content, the completely broken game systems are still very much the same. The only somewhat significant chages are coming from modders who are working for free.

This is very disapointing for me, just being honest here. I play others games who in the meantime received multiple content patchs as well as bugfixes and optimisations. Going back to CP77 and seeing that things haven't changes is a let down.

It would be bad ass if we could take info from the logs we find at crime scenes and either help or foil an operation nearby or some random even triggered by a phone call after reading the log.

Or if it's about thievery or gun for hire you could find or kill whomever than call the number with your on game homo keypad (this would be something new in the interface)

Anyone else feel like the game looks/performs better with patches on a new save file? (Ps5)

    Posted: 16 May 2021 08:09 PM PDT

I have a suspicion that bugs, overall performance and graphics are better ironed out and cleaner on a new save file after the latest patches.

Stopped playing my original save file from PS4 and started a new one recently and feel it's much better overall. Anyone else feel the same? What about deleting and reinstalling the game entirely?

An IDEA for expansion, Alt Cunningham will be reborn in real world as EVE

An IDEA for expansion, Alt Cunningham will be reborn in real world as EVE

I originally posted this topic which pretty much NOBODY read past the title. So I'll skip the whole introduction of how the original idea came and where it was brought up.

Now, my idea for expansion is to have EVE as the new villain, who is fully robotic AI creature with super human AI, speed, strength and endurance, the first perfect being in imperfect world.

Let me explain why this idea should be taken seriously. Like I said in original post, EVE becoming a reality will explain EVERY SINGLE PLOT HOLE in entire game.

It would create a perfect plot for the expansion when so many critics were complaining the game didn't have any ultimate goal, that your choices didn't have any impact and that no matter what ending you chose, you were still going to die. The game also doesn't really have a major villain that has some sinister plan that you're really put into task of stopping. The game is about you, but ultimately your ending doesn't really change the fact your character will die, so it's left many feeling hollow. And we certainly can't just repeat the same ending multiple times, right?

So why not rewrite the ending by making V just THINK he's going to die?

Why not make it part of the more sinister plot?

I was originally thinking of just some female war hero who is basically tired of being human and is in some circumstance driven to become ultimate combat warrior.

But then it hit me... Alt Cunningham... She would be perfect EVE, for many-many-many reasons.

    Alt Cunningham contacted through cyberspace

Alt Cunningham was originally a woman that was killed and mind copied by soul-killer who transformed into completely different entity. She evolved in cyberspace and now has super intelligence BUT how much of her really cares for humanity any more?

Could she hate humanity or perhaps see a way to save humanity by destroying it first? Flooding the streets of Night City and all the major capitals left in the world with poisonous gas to kill all the criminal gangs and only make the elite to survive and strive? Perhaps some other immoral act where V is going to have to face a choice once again (referring to suicide ending), choose to let plan to come to fruition, or interrupt EVE and save the Night City, and perhaps the rest of the world.

Maybe Alt was seeking a way to enter into the real world and the Death of Adam had given her some kind of opportunity (through V) to create a being outside of the digital world. Arasaka had long experienced with human body parts being replaced by artificial limbs, and the game and it's advertisements glorify these transformations, so ideally there would be a creature created by the ultimate technology (still in prototype stage) mixing all the greatest innovations of computing, muscles and weaponry.

So ultimately EVE would be character with full metallic chrome body, perfect creation mixed with complete robotics and human mind inside it, a first perfect being.

I was looking around the web for something and I saw this and I got to say, it fits quite perfectly.

It would make some poetic sense to have both Adam and EVE, two human robot hybrids, two war machines.

First being created by humans, putting human into machine, who had to maintain human parts to stay human.

Second being, EVE, created by robots, would be full metal AI being, who is infused with artificial human mind.

Also if you check from the Bible, Adam was created first, and EVE was created from Adam's rib, so in Cyberpunk maybe EVE could be something which is now given birth after Adam's death. Maybe Adam was supposed to keep a close eye on Alt and making sure NOBODY is allowed into the mainframe, that she would be maintained in prison for eternity and now V has risked her escape. That's why the last encounter before the mainframe is.... surprise, Adam Smasher.

Also... if JOHNNY TAKES YOUR BODY, it could be something that could be USED to fight Alt Cunningham after she has transformed herself into this unstoppable ultimate killer. Johnny could be ONLY WAY to weaken her (cutting wounds and letting Johnny suffer instead of straight out cutting V's body in half) in the ultimate fight when something else happens perhaps some other person (that V partners up with in the expansion) comes to aid in last second and blows the first EMP that actually manages to harm her. Maybe there's some code that the original V (that left the world into the cyberspace, gained SUPER AI but has not lost his/her humanity) is able to draft virus to attack her.

I mean this is a company that takes it's inspiration from books and has first human robot hybrid called Adam, who is subservient for God (in Cyberpunk corporations are Gods said many times in the game), who probably (because he has shifted so many parts into machine already) has been given a gift of eternal life, and lives in a place which could be called "Garden of Eden" if they use Alt Cunningham to create all these technologies or be some form to tool for creation for them. And it didn't occur to them to make EVE... like ever?

    I'm really baffled...

It could explain SO MUCH why Alt is even willing to help V, she doesn't really have to, as an entity who is above humanity, she would probably see that there's really no point helping V for anything because eventually V's consciousness won't survive, and besides that V is just one human who isn't that special at all for her to bother. Her only reason helping V would be that V would be some kind of vessel for her to advance her own goals.

Johnny is living on V's head and there's no reason for Alt to do anything if she wants Johnny to just take over. So it could have all been a secret plot by the AI to escape into real world. And that's why she sends Johnny these messages about being trapped in Arasaka base, while clearly no normal human would ever gain access to it. Arasaka was basically using her and the AI to develop all the technologies and stay ahead of competition.

And it could further all be used to explain the origin of the heist mission, perhaps it was Alt Cunningham who tricked Maelstrom gangers first gaining access to certain military equipment, which was perfect tool to infiltrate into Konpeki Plaza.

It was Alt Cunningham who put the idea into Dexter's head to get the drone and start the heist. Maybe it was Alt's idea to make Yorinobu Arasaka create this scapegoat and invite these small criminals into this big building and let them gain access to top floor. Maybe it was all intended for V and Jackie to escape, that's why Yorinobu left his weapon on the table for V to grab.

Even if you had failed Yorinobu would have had all that he wanted, since he wanted to get rid of his father, and you escaping the scene and dying would close all the loop holes. There would be no further investigations. Nobody would ask questions. These people would have had clear motives to attempt to rob the richest person in the world who came to visit.

Perhaps it was Alt who informed Takemura to save V, telling him that "V knows who the real killer is", or perhaps she intentionally made an error when tasked erasing brain footage of Saburo being choked from the downloaded BD data. What we know for sure is that Takemura knows SOMEHOW what really happened.

So it could be Alt's plan all along to make V think he/she's going to die, use him/her to invade Arasaka building and get rid of Adam, enter into the mainframe and download her consciousness.

Only thing hard to understand is if this was truly the way the story actually unfolded, why didn't V's brain just get overwritten by Alt? Maybe Alt was afraid faulty copy would create competition. Perhaps she was afraid the copying process would fail her chances of escape. Perhaps it's her human side who decided to have mercy on V in the end. So she had pretty much option to save V or send him/her way... neither choice really didn't matter, so that is why she even gave V choice to begin with. All she really wanted is V's body to escape the facility, carrying instructions to perhaps break free later.

Maybe choosing to have Johnny in your body could trigger something within her, where she still has human side fighting the AI to stay friendly with humans, and now that she never will have Johnny join her through the cyberspace, it gave away complete control to the AI.

Gameplay wise, combatting her would be completely different encounter to Adam Smasher, where Adam is range oriented character who has missile launch system and shotgun. EVE would be a melee fighter but with insane speeds, who makes fighting her look like an episode of Bleach, where you don't even see her moving before she hits you with her blade arms. You would have to tackle her by at least paralyzing her with EMP or something and he would be immune to just attempting to punch her to death.

Also it'd be very fitting for Johnny taking over V's body to start having dialogues about whether God exists (where if you played the dialogue with V where he asks about God existing you get a new potential answer to the tune of: "Really, you too? What's up with these stupid questions?")

    https://preview.redd.it/q1gfrn7bmmz61.png?width=1052&format=png&auto=webp&s=da6ba835bf3479c6049792291fd51faa088bcfb6

It'd also be currently very fitting for biblical reference the mainframe being "tree of knowledge of good and evil", containing forbidden fruit that nobody is allowed to touch, "eating from the tree" would cause you to die (by hands of Asasaka employees because the AI is prevented from ever escaping the grasp of corporation so nothing copied without the "God's" permission ever gets out).

It's shape also kinda reminds of a tree. Having log shaped structure branching upwards and having water beneath, being center of the whole "Garden of Eden".

In the final combat, EVE could tempt V with things that V was working for his whole career, having a luxury life with big mansion, flying car, security and endless parties, getting into the "major leagues" where you're given a choice to accept the fate of letting EVE destroy and reshape humanity, while you're finally given opportunity to settle in the top, or you could choose to accept this and face EVE.

What do you guys think? Should we have a female nemesis in expansion?
