I think CDPR should pretend this game is still in development.

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 07:34 PM PST

Let me be clear: I love this game.

But a big part of the reason I love it is because of the raw potential it has. If I had my finger on the trigger of release, I would have given the game another year in the oven. I'm incredibly grateful I didn't have to wait that long to try it, but if I'm being honest with myself, that's how long I estimate I would wait for my own personal "vision" of the game to be adequately complete.

I hope CDPR's design philosophy going forward pretends that this game is still unreleased and under prime development. I want new systems implemented. Especially those that were promised such as NPC day/night cycles and a police wanted system. I want animations completed. Many are gorgeous. Many are, frankly, not finished. I want story content and pacing fleshed out. That means new missions/cutscenes to be implemented that are not part of DLC. Get the voice actors back in the booth please. I want animations for every ripper doc implant. It was a big let down when this was only there in the beginning of the game and really broke immersion that it was left out. There's the obvious of course.....customization, new apartments, better performance, bug fixes, and a car buying system that isn't really annoying. But those things should go without saying.

My point is: This game is incredible, but to convince the gaming community, the investors, and the individual gamer him/herself, it needs an overhaul. Hell, if I knew it wasn't a ridiculous ask I would even beg for the great soundtrack to be looked at more (it's great (even though I wouldn't have gone with industrial), but it's main theme should be more memorable (don't hate me guys)).

Anyway, I fucking love this game. To the point I built my GF a PC just so she can play it.

P.S. My GF really wants to listen to the radio even when she's outside of the car. She recommends adding like a "smart watch" so that she can listen to the radio anywhere in Night City. She's constantly talking about this.

P.P.S. I just realized I posted this in r/cyberpunkgame and not r/lowsodiumcyberpunk. lol. oops.

P.P.P.S. I'm not sure if I'm being fair to CDPR when I stated that a police wanted system was ever promised. I'm not sure if it was. Generally speaking, specific examples in this post shouldn't be the focus. This is more about general design philosophy moving forward.

I just noticed that the NPC drivers can shoot while driving. This standard feature is in the game, just not for the player to use.

It crashes a bit and the graphics are not the best, but I am enjoying this game. Likeable characters, lots of side quests, I give it a B.

    Suggestion: Realistic Difficulty

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 04:05 PM PST

Suggestion: a realistic difficulty that makes use of the eating, sleeping and other mechanics in the game.

    • Eating:

Much like a normal human, V would have to eat to live. A hunger bar would show if V is hungry or not. The hunger bar would also effect the stamina bar and going below 25% of the hunger bar would slowly start to drain V's health, eventually leading to V passing out.

    • Sleeping:

A full day and night cycle in the game is around 3 hours of real-world time. An energy bar would indicate V's overall energy. Sleeping will restore the energy bar to 100%, coffee will restore 30% of energy and energy drinks give a boost of energy that lasts for a certain duration. If the energy bar goes below 15%, V starts to slow-walk and the view would become a bit blurry, eventually leading to V passing out.

    • Hygiene:

The showering mechanic is probably the least used mechanic in the entire game. A hygiene bar would effect how the game world and NPCs react to V. If V has low hygiene, NPCs would typically avoid him/her and can trigger special dialogues.

    • Trauma Team:

This one would be epic to have. V would be able to buy Trauma Team coverage in Silver, Gold and Platinum plans that offer different services. All trauma team coverages would include the following:

    • On-the-ground services: when V passes out or is about to die, Trauma Team rushes in (just like in the Sandra Dorsett mission) and quickly "saves" V.

    • Inpatient care: Access to the Trauma Team clinic that grants access to healing consumables and a special ripperdoc that is only available with Trauma Team coverage.

    • SCSM (vending machine) options:

Expand the options on the SCSM in V's apartment to be able to order other things too indicated on the SCSM, such as girls or guys and other things ;)

    • Store holdups:

Being able to rob a store or a business for Eddies. Pointing a gun towards the store clerk starts the hold up and the clerk will either fight back, sound the store alarm or fork over the Eddies

Those are a few of my suggestions to make the game more challenging and fun :)

Even the end game stuff isn't free of glitches.

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:40 PM PST

I've completed 4 out of 5 of the end game sequences. No spoilers. Just cars in the road, bad physics and duplicate renderings.

I felt bad about using the Aldecados to get into Arasaka so, it was my 3rd run choice for going in but, I think that has the best end-game outcome, if you choose to live out the rest of your life as V... Which you may not have the choice to do.

Try playing in offline mode for increased stability.

    Posted: 03 Mar 2021 09:37 PM PST

I'm playing Cyberpunk on PS4Pro. And since December, the game had not crashed once. Even tho I play it on daily basis.

But, I know gamers on whose PS4Pros the game does crash frequently.

So, how can the game be so stable on my Pro, yet so unstable on theirs???

Well, the only difference seems to be that I keep Pro in offline mode whenever I play games. While theirs is online 24/7.

So I thought that might be the cause for the instability.

To 'prove' it, I simply put Pro online, and continued playing Cyberpunk.

And sure enough, it crashed within an hour. Then crashed again while later.

So, I put Pro offline again, and start Cyberpunk.

    No crashes.

Now, do bear in mind, this might just be a coincidence or an isolated case. Meaning that you might, or then again, might not, get better stability in offline mode. But since it seems to help keep my game stable, I thought to mention it.

So, if you suffer from daily crashes, try turning your console offline next time you play to see if it helps.

It might just help, and then again, it might not. With temperamental games like this, you never know.
