One setting on PC TANKS performance. Here's how to actually get playable framerates Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:04 PM PST If you're struggling on PC, this is how I went from <20fps to solid 60FPS at 4K ultrawide (3840x1620) with DLSS amd RT enabled on a RTX 3070. There's one specific setting that absolutely tanks performance for me, namely Cascaded Shadows Resolution. Changing this from high to medium more than doubled my FPS instantly. Not only that, but character dialogue went from single digit FPS to actually watchable. Changing from low to high on most other settings did not yield much difference, we're talking single digits. I think this is why running everything at high is making the game run like dogpoo. Set everything else as high as you'd like, but always keep this setting at medium, max. [link] [comments] |
This game is unfinished and total disaster with graphics and texture applying. Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:29 PM PST Sorry folks that I was sooooo hyped for the game but man, its so clear to see that after 4 hours of playing this game is still a worksite. Horrible optimization (playing on ps 4), some textures starts loading after 2-3 seconds you see them. You see a huge box and few seconds later it becomes a car lol. I'm too disappointed to go through.. Don't even compare to Witcher 3. [link] [comments] |
Controller settings detailed, feels loads better. Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:40 PM PST In your controller settings turn on advanced options. Turn your horizontal and vertical turning bonuses all the way to 0. This setting applies extra sensitivity when the stick is pushed all the way. It's what caused it to feel sluggish and there's no input delay with them turned off. Fees great now. [link] [comments] |
Legitimate Criticism is being drowned out... Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:09 PM PST I really don't see a problem with the average score many outlets gave Cyberpunk (including gamespot). The main argument from most reviewers was that the choices the player makes during side quests (no matter how cool) both narrarivley and mechanically aren't meaningfully reflected in V's main character arc. This is especially hard to swallow in a game which centers player choice, a dynamic open world, and RPG mechanics. Reviewers also focus on how potentially deep themes are only interesting at the conceptual stage and aren't further explored in a meaningful way. These flaws taken together create a feeling of frivolity towards the side quests and obscure the creator's thematic intent. Not even to mention the bugs! These seem like pretty legitimate criticisms for an RPG... I already have the game pre ordered, but I think people are not allowing any criticism towards the game even before they play it. Cyberpunk 2077 has broken record for most concurrent player in single player game Posted: 09 Dec 2020 05:32 PM PST Terraria held record for single player with 486k players Previous lauch record belonged to fallout 4 with 471k players As of this writing cyberpunk 2077 has 950k concurrent player thus breaking both records. Cyberpunk has only been beaten by:
It should break these records shortly. [link] [comments] |
PSA: Don't watch Gamespot's new review of Cyberpunk 2077, it contains spoilers Posted: 09 Dec 2020 02:40 PM PST 20 seconds in, and they spoiled the ending of some early game quests. I skip forward a couple of minutes and they spoil how a lot of the side-character arcs end. The Like/Dislike should tell you all you need to know [link] [comments] |
Guys have fun tonight with the game because I got another unexpected delay. Posted: 09 Dec 2020 12:36 PM PST Today I've been hospitalized with some kind of liver infection and it looks it will take a while to recover. Did the preload on Monday but it seems like 2020 still hitting hard on me. Just wanted to wish you all a joyful experience with all the envy of my heart. Give Judy the big hug she deserves. And remember to always cook your steaks well. PS. Wanted to post the obligatory selfie but it seems images have been removed to avoid spoilers. [link] [comments] |
I can’t believe how bad the game looks/runs on PC. It’s such a disappointment. Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:09 PM PST By no means do I have the beefiest setup going nor is it the worst. I can run most AAA games on high settings and hit about 100fps without an issue, even with lots going on. I have never seen a game be released after such a long time in development and I am scraping 55 FPS with low settings. On top of this, I have played for about an hour so far and I must have encountered 10-15 bugs. From people's mouths not moving when they are talking to cars going through walls. I understand that the developers are aware that there are a number of bugs and I am also sympathetic that the last year of development was plagued with coronavirus issues but still - I have NEVER seen a game so poorly optimised from a technical perspective. I am seriously considering refunding the game as I don't see how I can't enjoy this game when characters 10 feet away look like roblox characters and solid objects are passing through others. What. A. Shame. EDIT 1: for those asking I'm rocking an i7800k and 980ti Classified. Not the beefiest GPU going but handles other AAAs without an issue. Game recommended specs says 1060 and it's more powerful than that. [link] [comments] |
Anyone else think the driving is bad? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:08 PM PST The driving feels worse than Watch dogs 1 in my opinion. Something just feels off. edit: im playing with a controller and am 14 hours into the game and still nothing drives well [link] [comments] |
Posted: 09 Dec 2020 01:53 PM PST Edit: Transmog means you can change appearance of an item without affecting the stats. Also ability to hide gear like hats and stuff. I'm watching streamers right now and they look like clowns. I don't want to see my character in cutscenes with his buttcheeks hanging out while he wears a cowboy hat. What's worse is if you use underleveled gear, you end up getting one hit killed by enemies on higher difficulties. Please add transmog ASAP it hurts the immersion. [link] [comments] |
As a woman, I have never been this happy with a character creator Posted: 09 Dec 2020 03:22 PM PST I just spent an hour choosing hairstyle, haircolor, makeup etc. and I even got to have green pubic hair! Never have I ever been able to choose so many cool styles. And now because of covid, creating this character felt like going to have a night out. Most of the time you are either stuck with male carachter or you cannot change much. Now, I cannot choose from all the great options. Specially all the hairstyles and colours are spectacular! Is it just me or do the model Vs in the character creator look really low res? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:30 PM PST It feels like they are being rendered at a lower resolution than my monitor but I got all the settings on ultra. Solution: TURN OFF DLSS [link] [comments] |
Pre-download the game they said Posted: 09 Dec 2020 04:12 PM PST To play it right away they said Now it's 16 gigs to download at 500kbs at best. Dammit. Edit: Some suggested that if you pause and unpause the download, the speed gets better. Try and see if it helps. My speed picked up after I restarted Steam. We're in this together. We have to wait just a little more. It's nothing compared to the wait we have already endured. Edit 2: 57.4 gang, the pre-load is getting decrypted at this size. The download will resume once done. Put Steam on high priority in Task Manager, this should help speed up the process. [link] [comments] |
Girlfriend worked for months to create this Cyberpunk 2077 Cross-stitch. [OC] Posted: 09 Dec 2020 12:57 PM PST Hey Netrunners, My SO knows that I wait for Cyberpunk since it was teased in 2012-2013. We are in a long-distance relationship and when we've met for the first time, she gave me this gift, including a love letter and 1000-piece Puzzle! I'm so proud of her! She worked for months and never showed me what it is. I was so surprised and it turned out perfect :3 I hope you can appreciate her work as much as I do. What is everyone’s thoughts so far? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:07 PM PST I've watched a couple streams today, the game seems fun, haven't got it yet to try but it looks highly entertaining. Looking to see others opinions on it. Edit: Seems many are having issues with the game running. Other than that it's good to know that it's fun. Thank you guys for the opinions Edit 2: One more question should I get the game today or wait until it's better and optimized? [link] [comments] |
If you’re having problems with aiming on controller... Posted: 09 Dec 2020 01:10 PM PST Go into your setting and decrease your dead zone. It's a default 0.03 whereas most FPS game have around 0.01, hence the weird delay while aiming. Additionally, turn down your turning curve speed or ramp up (I forget what it's called as I'm away from my console). Let me know if this helps! Edit: also turning down ADS sensitivity helps! Who is staying up after midnight to play? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:39 AM PST Am I the only one staying up all night long for this game? I really won't be able to sleep and wait till tomorrow. [link] [comments] |
The constant crackling sound effect needs to go please Posted: 09 Dec 2020 06:20 PM PST Edit: Another user commented the fix! Change your audio device quality in windows down until the crackle goes away. To access this setting in windows: Right click speaker icon in bottom right corner, sound settings, output device properties, additional device properties, advanced. [link] [comments] |
Anyone else not having any issues and really enjoying the game? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 10:47 PM PST Am I the only one without issues? I really think this whole "game is buggy" thing is getting blown out of proportion. Every game has bugs did people really expect a massive game like this not to be buggy? I am having a blast so far with zero issues aside from small performance problems, which is completely normal. The rage culture of gaming nowadays is getting out of hand. People have all this high expectations for games to be big free and work perfectly. Don't let the people complaining turn you from the game. The vast majority are enjoying this masterpiece. It's just the vocal minority coming on the internet and complaining. Can't wait to dive more into Night City! [link] [comments] |
I expected and was fine with some glitches, but this is a bit ridiculous... Posted: 09 Dec 2020 05:57 PM PST Very beginning of the game and objects are popping in and out of the scene like crazy. Edit: This is on PC. A driver update does seem to have fixed this particular issue. [link] [comments] |
Some constructive critique (PC 6 hours in) - Good game with some fixable issues Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:54 PM PST Driving - Feels really really bad, like how did this get past playtesting bad. Extremely floaty, feels more like maneuvering a bigger version of yourself than being in a vehicle. Using a controller sort of helps but not that much. They need to address this. Melee/Sword combat - Feels awful. Dark Messiah did it better a decade + ago. There is no weight or feeling of impact. Limbs just kind of pop off, doesn't look like you did the damage, just really not implemented well at all. Bullet sponge enemies - I know this changes as you level up being an RPG, but still starting out first impressions are everything. It doesn't feel good to shoot a normal enemy 8 times in the head with a pistol... Too much looting - Way too much looting. Small little items all over, some really good so you dont want to miss anything. Have to keep tabbing to identify as they all dont show up. Minor gripe but still annoying. Notifications/popups/calls - These seem to pop off almost constantly, overlapping each other. Overwelming. Quest log and management system doesn't do a good job keeping track of everything. Graphics & Performance - Anyone who can't use DLSS is in for a bad time. This game takes a lot (running a 3080 and i9-9900K). I can max most of it with ray tracing on high and DLSS balanced and get decent FPS at 1400P. The thing is the visuals don't really justify the performance IMO. There are better looking games out there. Some areas look good, but others can look rather plain. Texture work maxed out does not look that great either. Bugs - Ran into a few T-pose NPC's, glitched out animations, and a crash so far. Nothing huge but noticeable. No major quest resetting ones yet fortunately. Combat/Gunplay - Feels just OK. Don't think any of the guns look or handle that well so far. Nothing really unique or futuristic here (I know smart guns and other stuff come later). Overall thoughts - Good game so far, story has me hooked to see where it goes. Very slow slog the first few hours. Heavy on dialogue and tutorials but it starts to rope you in eventually. Definitely not this amazing thing it was hyped up to be, just a good single player game that I will probably only play once. 7.5/10. Deus Ex with less impressive augmentations and floaty driving around a city. [link] [comments] |
Is there a problem with seeing your penis on the mirror or did I accidentally get a vagina? Posted: 09 Dec 2020 03:27 PM PST All in the title. I thought I got penis but when I look in to the mirror, I have a vagina. Can I modify my character somehow? Edit: Thank you for your empowering comments. I opened my character screen and it turns out I still have my huge dick. [link] [comments] |
PSA How to bind the F key on PC Posted: 09 Dec 2020 05:21 PM PST So when I first launched the game it did not let me bind "F" to anything. I play on ESDF not WASD so this is sort of a huge deal for me. After a bit of digging in the files I found the key binding file and discovered that you can rebind the locked out keys in the files. Step 1. Locate your Cyberpunk files Step 2. Steam > steamapps > common > Cyberpunk 2077 > r6 > config Step 3. Open "inputUserMappings.xml" using notepad++ or the like Step 4. Ctrl+F > replace Step 5. replace every instance of "IK_F" (WITH QUOTES!!) to "IK_G"(or whatever you want your "use" key to be) Step 6. Save the file and launch the game after that you should be able to bind F to whatever you want; In my case walk right is now bindable to F. Edit: Make sure you do it with quotes or else replacing all IK_F will also replace your F1 - F12 binds and will likely break the game Edit Edit: If anyone finds out a way to do toggle aim instead of hold aim PLEASE let me know, I'm at the post prologue tutorial and it is killing me Edit Edit Edit: wow this blew up, thanks for the awards everyone. I wish I could help you guys individually with your issues but I'm too deep into the game and can't look away. If you guys are looking to rebind other hardcoded keys same logic as above just with different keys; Read the rest of the binds in case you need to find the right phrases for mousewheelup or whatever. PLEASE be careful when editing game files, there's always a possibility you break your game. Make a copy of the original file just in case. I would highly NOT recommend doing all of your binds in the file(unless you have a good understanding of the code), just change the hardcoded key giving you issues and rebind the rest in game. Posted: 09 Dec 2020 02:41 PM PST Game launched on console digitally in Australia like 9hr ago, so I got to play a bit when I should have been sleeping; and the character creator seemed really...lacking, especially compared to something like say Nioh 2, just felt like I was only able to edit the face a little Hairstyles though is where it's really weird, there's a lot OF them sure but I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to hair and really struggled; not to mention the absolute strangest choice they've made: Hairstyles are locked behind masculine or feminine voice. Why?? Clearly it's not a model issue, why not just give the player freedom with it. Games fun and beautifully crafted, but I just wanted to vent some confusion. [link] [comments] |
