There will be gameplay: CDPR said "PREVIEWS" not "REVIEWS" Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:38 PM PDT I really don't know why people are saying the demos are closed doors. From what we have heard Polish YouTubers and game media channels will be posting gameplay and that they have at least a couple hours to do whatever they want in game (I might be wrong on that last part but the first part is still true). I also would assume that CDPR will be showing off gameplay as not doing so wouldn't justify the live-stream plus they have already kind of confirmed it. There will be gameplay regardless. The one thing that really irritates me is how some people get the words review and preview mixed up and assume its closed doors. Review= talking but not showing Preview= showing something [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 05:22 PM PDT With the Night City Wire coming soon (and the unfortunate delay of the game to September), a question popped into my head. How popular was the originial Cyberpunk tabletop game? From what I read in some forums and other websites, Cyberpunk supposedly help to create the cyberpunk sub-genre. Although cyberpunk existed before the tabletop, it was spread out over multiple books and other media that just had similar themes and elements. Cyberpunk is what took those things and combined them all together into one setting, creating what we now view as cyberpunk (similar to how the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings created the modern perception of high fantasy). This would mean that any cyberpunk elements in future media originated from Cyberpunk in some ways. However, I personally never heard about the tabletop until I looked into the game, a sentiment that I seem to share with a lot of other people. It also never seemed to reach the popularity and long-lasting appeal that D&D reached. To be fair though, this could just be because I did not pay a lot of attention to the tabletop community until when I got into D&D recently (which occurred years after I learned about the game). The only consistent thing I can find is that the 3rd edition or V3.0 was considerred the worst version of Cyberpunk because of its low production (since R. Talsorian Games was nearing bankruptcy at the time) to the point where once Cyberpunk 2077 and Red were announced, V3.0 was declared noncanon. To reiterate, how popular was Cyberpunk and if possible, can anyone compare its popularity to D&D's popularity? [link] [comments]
What are your expectations from this game ? Posted: 21 Jun 2020 11:40 PM PDT I am expecting a first person open world game, where u can interact many npcs (if not all) with romance options as well. I am not expecting it to be like GTA, where u can go on rampage, or natural green environments / forests. [link] [comments]
Cyberpunk 2077 not eligible for game of the year 2020 anymore? Posted: 21 Jun 2020 03:12 PM PDT The cutoff date for the Game Awards 2019 was November 15, 2019. If it is the same date this year Cyberpunk 2077 will be 4 days too late to be nominated. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:23 AM PDT The book releases on July 28 while the ebook releases on August 11. The book has 192 pages with a lot of content to keep us busy till the game finally releases. We have to wait just 36 days for the book to be released. Let's hope that the book doesn't get delayed. [link] [comments]
Don't be worried about the delays of the game. Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:18 PM PDT The Witcher 3 had planned a release in late 2014 but was delayed twice to may 2015. It's considered one of the greatest videogames of all time. Bioshock infinite was delayed 3 times and received 85 awards before it even released A lot of people may hate this: the last of us part 2 was delayed twice. It received universal aclaim by critics with nearly perfect scores on metacritic from over 100 review sites and became the fastest selling PS4 game of all time, even after the entire game leaked, thousands of incels berated the game and company due to homophobia and completely random transphobia. .. Cyberpunk 2077 will possibly be the game of our generation. Two months will be nothing for being able to look back at this game for decades to come. When the game comes out, it will be backwards compatible on the PS5 and everyone who got the game will get a free upgrade to Xbox Series X and PS5 when the game is remastered/remade. This game will be able to be enjoyed by any mature audience for countless years and you will be represented in the game. Exotics are furries (even if you probably can't play as them). Homophobes fuck off, transphobes fuck off. This game isn't meant for children. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 11:35 PM PDT I've got the COVID blues, practicing my social distancing and generally staying at home. I'm so bored and have been looking forward to this game so I could immerse myself in another world, if only for a brief time. Sadly, CDPR has seen fit to delay the release yet again after many false starts. TBH, it will ship with many bugs in November anyway - just release it already and patch as you go. It is ridiculous - they want to "polish" the game but in the meantime they have my money for the preorder. It's just bad business. I guarantee this game will still have plenty of bugs when it releases at the end of the year and we all have waited for nothing. I see everyone with their humor memes and trying to be positive - nobody is willing to call them out for these ridiculous delays. Sorry, I think the fanboys have blinders on their eyes and it is not ok to continually delay the game because it "will ship when it is ready". Get a clue CDPR and release the game already. I will think twice about buying any future games from this developer as they have broken trust with their customers many times now. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:47 AM PDT Tries to strike a deal with a Corpo? Gets hacked into truth or lie. Tries to strike a deal with a gang for the bot? It goes south due to a virused up credit chip. Does a oddjob for the voodoo boys? Cue footage of V punching a guy about being set up. Does jobs for that one fixer? Well we have like one or two entire trailers on how that ends out. V, you either need to get smarter, or pick better jobs. [link] [comments] |
