| Posted: 01 Jun 2020 09:42 PM PDT I've seen some people say they aren't hyped for cyberpunk, which is completely understandable as not every game is for everyone. Different strokes for different folks. However, what what I find kinda annoying is when people mention a game isn't great or will not be good because it isn't doing anything "groundbreaking" or "revolutionary." Such expectations are incredibly stupid/misguided. Like, in my opinion, the Witcher 3 wasn't this revolutionary or groundbreaking games. It was simply an extremely well made game with an extreme attention to detail. The strength of the game was it's story/side quests which isn't any new in videogames, they were just simply well made and really enjoyable experiences. I'm not expecting and I don't think anyone should expect cyberpunk to "revolutionize the gaming industry as we know it." Such expectations are extremely stupid and only bring disappointment. What we can expect is an enjoyable experience, akin to the Witcher 3. Which thinking about, might also be stupid as the Witcher 3 is an extremely well made game but it's quality can certainly be replicated, especially by a team as talented as CDPR. | Creating an 80’s synthpop/new wave mixtape to hear when the game releases Posted: 01 Jun 2020 03:17 PM PDT These past weeks I have been trying to find ways to calm my anxiety to play the game. I've modded Fallout 4 to have some Cyberpunk tones, currently playing Deus Ex, saw Akira and right now I'm binging Altered Carbon on netflix (btw, enjoyed every one of them and I 100% recommend them). But one thing came to my mind while I was hearing New Order. I imagined myself hearing 80's synthpop and new wave music while playing, and felt it would be awesome to have a playlist of those songs. The main songs that comes to mind are: -Everything Counts, Strangelove, Enjoy the Silence, Personal Jesus, It's no Good, Master and Servant, Never let me Down, People are People by Depeche Mode. -Blue Monday, True Faith, Elegia (Extended version is an 17-minute eargasm, recommend it alot) by New Order -Big in Japan by Alphaville -I Ran by Flock of Seagulls -Here comes the rain again by Eurythmics -Dancing with tears in my eyes by Ultravox -Don't you want me by The Human League -Whip it by Devo -Obsession by Animotom -Sunglasses at Night by Corey Hart -Rhinestone Eyes, Tomorrow comes today and Feel Good Inc. by Gorillaz (maybe?) So, that's what I'm mainly shooting for, all recommendations are welcome, even out of the synthpop/new wave genres, I hope whoever sees this like some of the songs, maybe create a new playlist for themselves :) [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 01 Jun 2020 11:23 PM PDT I mean, it just seems like it's a bit un-necessary, like how many scenarios in game will the size/kind of genitals come up? Is there going to be a cut scene where a potential lover turns you down because they assumed you had a penis when in fact you have a vagina. I get that some people customise their RPG characters to their sexual fantasy but that is very crude and pretty gross. I get that this is the future and this is a blend of 80s and modern culture's views sex and gender which are more progressive. And having such a feature would (i assume) be very inclusive to people who are transgender. Sorry if i come across as a bigot or close minded, people should be able to express themselves the way they want and should be comfortable in their own bodies or who they're attracted to but i find this level of customisation as pretty uncomfortable and crude. Also saying "just ignore it" doesn't work for mechanics in a game, like shitty micro transactions, cant ignore those even if you don't use them. [link] [comments] | ||
| First post and have a question about a potential preorder accident Posted: 01 Jun 2020 01:06 PM PDT As most of you I preordered cyber punk almost as soon as I could. A while back I had to clear up some space so I had deleted the small bit that you get with the preorder. I didn't think this was that much of an issue due to me simply being able to go into my "owned games" section of my Xbox and reinstall it from there. The problem is, is that it's gone and I haven't gotten an email or message regarding it or a refund due to the release date shipping. Should I try to get in contact with Microsoft about this or something, or maybe hold out and see it the issue remedies it's self is some way? -thanks all [link] [comments] |
