    Hey Choombas,

Last week the book club topic was Count Zero! Count Zero is a 1986 novel by William Gibson and the second novel in the Sprawl trilogy. We hope you all had a chance to read it over the past week. Please discuss what you thought of it below! -- How do you think it compares to other Cyberpunk books? In what ways has it influenced/been influenced by other Cyberpunk media? Do you plan on role-playing any parts of it while playing Cyberpunk 2077?

As well, last week we posted a poll to vote for this week's book club, and the winner is: Total Recall! (original + remake) Total Recall is a movie that was released in 1990 and remade in 2012.

Please vote on next week's topic! (Options: Altered Carbon Season 2, Westworld Season 3, Dredd)

If you want to see something else in the vote for an upcoming week, please tell us in the comments!

    Romance in Cyberpunk 2077

    Romance in Cyberpunk 2077

    Hello! =)

I don't know whether this topic has already been discussed or not. If it has been discussed, you have my apology. Anyway, how will the romances work in Cyberpunk 2077? We know for sure that our character is going to be able to romance both men and women, no matter what gender he/she is (finally! :D) and that the sex scenes are made in first person, just like the rest of the game (except driving a car or a motorcycle). Do you think the romance options will be divided into two segments, just like in Witcher 3?

    Powered by Paint

If so, have we already seen the character we will have a serious relationship with? Jackie, Johnny Silverhead? Will there be a risk of being rejected by a character because of your gender or will all the characters be bisexual, just like in Dragon Age Inquisition? (some romance scenes were hilarious there lmao). Will you be able to have two "serious romances" at the same time? And of course, how could I have forgotten - genital customization. Although I am sure this will not have any influence on our relationships (am I right? yes? please tell me I am right...).

Cyberpunk 2077 will let you customize your character's every aspect. Even your genitals. Make fun of this, but for me it is an another thing to increase immersion!

It is awesome that only one segment of an unreleased game can cause so many questions, isn't it? Have you got any suggestions/any ideas on how this romance system will work? Feel free to share what you think about this here!

    Remote hacking?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 06:27 PM PDT

    Hey Choombas,

I've never played the p&p rpg but I am beyond stoked for 2077 to start my nomad netrunner. Is there cyberware similar to the remote hacking augmentation in Deus Ex, perhaps usable once we've already gotten access to the network? I have seen the hacking via nanowire and activation of the weight machine and boxing dummy, so perhaps it's a moot point and the activation comes with the in-person access?

What do you guys wanna see at the Nignt City event?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 12:21 PM PDT

June 11 is only 2 weeks away and I'm tryna speculate what we could possibly see(or what I want to see). So here's my wish list

-10+ minutes of gameplay(to see how the final build looks like)

-Show a snippet of the character creator

    -Techie Gameplay

    -And Weapon and Vehicle customization

    -Clothing options

-What do y'all want to see?

-Activities we can do in Night City

Any Info on how Random Combat Encounters will work ?

    Posted: 30 May 2020 02:52 PM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is any news or Dev Information regarding Combat in the Open World.
We saw in the Gameplay that V will have firefights with Gangs in Quest specific locations/buildings and as random chases across the City.
Is there any more Info on stuff like that ?
Nightcity seems really populated. In the trailer we saw one guy beeing held up by two thugs while eating ramen and one Store beeing robbed by someone with a Shotgun.
Will stuff like that happen naturally or will it all be tied to Events ?

I can imagine parts of the Map like Pacifica and The Badlands will feature more enemies since the general grasp of lawenforcement seems rather none-existant there.

    What do you think ?
I would love it if I could just explore abandoned Complexes in my own time and encounter random gangs and thugs.
I am sure some parts of the town will be deemed "Safe" by the game unless you can literally just GTA that shit.
