    Hey Choombas,

    As per the title, it is currently 'Free Talk Friday' and this means that there will be relaxed moderation of rules 1 and 6.

    This means that you can post your random Cyberpunk 2077 discussions, even if they may not be OC/making a new point.

    A couple of examples are:

    • Basic polls, like, 'What Console are You Playing on?'
    • Hype posts, like, 'This is Why I'm so Excited for Cyberpunk 2077
    • Battlestation posts, sharing your PC or console setup with a Cyberpunk 2077 theme

    We will also be relaxing our moderation of rule 6, which means that you can post your Cyberpunk 2077 themed memes! Please note that there still must be some level of effort in their creation (i.e., reposting an unrelated video but changing the title is low effort), and they will still be subject to removal due to user reports.

    Also, if anyone is looking for it, here is the link to the last book club post (will be re-stickied tomorrow)

    Summary of the another of CDPR's quarterly finacial conferences with Adam Kiciński and Piotr Nielubowicz, this time just a single month after the last one, but you know, the special circumstances.

    - CEO's have said that there is no reason to worry about any potential issues with physical distribution of the game (because of the pandemic), since the situation on all the major markets (Europe, USA, Asia) is already getting better with more and more stores opening for business and the majority of the market believes that by September those should all function in a relatively normal fashion. Most likely the digital sales will make for a bigger percentage of the initial sales then physical copies, the difference might be even slightly bigger then they presumed earlier, but not that much bigger.

    - For the issues that they mentioned at the last conference (problems with localisation, due to some of the foreign studios halting their work on the voice overs recording because of the virus), those definitely had some impact, but they are already working on solving them and they are simply a minor challenges. Now their main focus is polishing the game

    - The most important piece of news is that in June, Media representatives and Influencers will get to play the game for the first time during the hands on session, which they consider an another major milestone for the development (thanks to the polish Youtuber Rojo, who was invited as well, we know that the hands ons are going to start at June 8). Night City Wire at June 11 will be an public showcase of the game and it seems it's a separate event from the hands ons

    - Piotr Nielubowicz noted that in April and May they didn't note a much higher sales of their products in comparison to previous months, despite people staying at homes more often

    - Most likely they won't continue the model of working from homes after the pandemic, since they believe that in a creative environment working together as a group adds more value to it

    - They are not putting out as many job offers anymore (current job offers make up a 10-20% of their usual activity on that field) since last year, when they entered a final stage of development on Cyberpunk 2077

    - Another big news is that after Cyberpunk 2077 release, they believe that CDPR will be finally able to work on two AAA games at once and in the report they again reiterated that they are adapting a dual franchise model with Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher, which might be a pretty strong hint of what those two next projects will be. They don't think they will be needing a two equally large teams for the entirety of development for both games, so one of them will probably start smaller (60-80 people), then it will expand with time.

    A Honest Discussion About the Cyber Up Your PC Competition

    Hi Friends, I hope you all are doing alright during this pandemic. I wish to bring to light the unfair selection criteria for the Cyber Up Your PC Contest organised by CDPR and Dell. Now, full disclosure, While I haven't personally entered to the competition, I did help create some sticker/ decal art for some of the entrants as graphic design is my passion and something I enjoy doing. While all of the finalist's entries are stunning in their own right, I fail to see them meeting the criteria of showing the "Contrast between the rich and the poor" that were stated clearly in the rules and instead seem to have only been selected solely based on looks, rather than the specified criteria while disregarding hundreds of entries who have put in genuine hard work and passion into their cases while incorporating the specified guidelines. This sentiment is also seen among the communities in Discord as well as on twitter. I hope the Cyberpunk team addresses this issue.

    I participated with my friend in the "Cyber up your PC!" contest. We did not win, but I will show you our work. I don't know about you, but I like it. It's sad, because one work doesn't follow the rules.

    im very new to any sort of cyberpunk lore, and I only started being interested in the game when it was revealed at e3. I was just wondering as in the gameplay video we see lots of trash and crowded streets.

    Alright so I was thinking about vehicles recently and just thought of something that I think would be pretty cool. What if we had to put gas in our cars? Like I know how other open world games don't have that mechanic but it would be cool to have it in cyberpunk, it would definitely add to the immersion element of the game.
