    Hey Choombas,

Last week the book club topic was Upgrade! Upgrade is a live-action movie which came out in 2018. We hope you all had a chance to watch it over the past week. Please discuss what you thought of it below! -- How do you think it compares to other Cyberpunk movies? In what ways has it influenced/been influenced by other Cyberpunk media? Do you plan on role-playing any parts of it while playing Cyberpunk 2077?

As well, last week we posted a poll to vote for this week's book club, and the winner is: Count Zero! Count Zero is a 1986 novel by William Gibson and the second novel in the Sprawl trilogy.

Please vote on next week's topic! (Options: Altered Carbon Season 2, Westworld Season 3, Total Recall (original & remake))

    FAQs:

Will they release Cyberpunk 2077 early? What about a demo? Character customization early?

Most likely not. Please stop asking about it.

    When is Cyberpunk 2077 releasing?

    Cyberpunk 2077 releases on September 17, 2020.

Will you be able to preload the game?

This is currently unconfirmed; however, it is a fair assumption.

    We don't know yet.

Will Cyberpunk 2077 have mod support?

    Not on launch. Possibly later.

No. You need to pre-order physical to get physical bonuses.

No. The game takes place almost entirely in first person. Some cut scenes and driving sequences will take place in third person.

If I buy the game on current-gen, do I get a free upgrade to next-gen?

Yes for Xbox One/Xbox Series X. Unconfirmed for PS4/5.

What aspects of Witcher 3 do you hope CDPR improves in Cyberpunk 2077?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 08:54 AM PDT

Obviously Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are very different games but they do share some commonalties. Some of which I hope they improve.

For example, the movement. Geralt's movement was always very clunky. Precise adjustments were so awkward. Games like Assassin's Creed and Tomb Raider have had much more elegant character control for a long time now so I hope CDPR can get it right.

Another thing that didn't seem optimized was the inventory menu. Things were arranged sub-optimally and navigating it never felt smooth.

I wished in Witcher 3 that you had more relationships with NPCs after you had finished the quests involving them. Most of the characters you interact with forget who you are once you have completed the quest. I understand why but it would be really cool if you bumped into someone you had completed a contract for if you could then have a conversation about how their life has been going since.

I always found the objects you could interact with fairly arbitrary. Like, why can I only pick up certain items and not others? Even though they all clearly exist. But more than that, they need to figure out a way to make selecting objects to interact with easier. This goes back to the movement issue but I found trying to make minuscule adjustments to Geralt's position to be in the exact right place to open a crate to be endlessly frustrating.

I only have very minor quibbles with Witcher 3 which in m mind, is still the greatest game ever made. And I don't want this to be just a complaint thread about that game. But I would hope that CDPR can take what they learned from it and really nail it in Cyberpunk 2077.

What kind of moral code is your character going to have?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 01:39 PM PDT

I'm feeling like doing a purist no killing playthrough for my first character, always trying to take the moral high ground and such. I'm curious what other people are gonna do, are you gonna be a super evil/selfish person, angel do-gooder, or somewhere in middle?

How do you think the radio will be?

    Posted: 26 May 2020 12:33 AM PDT

I've been thinking about what kind of music this game will bring. It would be great if there is a radio station about the 80s, there are some song from these years that sound pretty futuristic and suitable for this game.

    Mastis Blade Replica

    Mastis Blade Replica

    Hey there!
This post is intended for fans, amateurs and just interested in the cyberpunk universe, as well as for fans of cosplay or replicas of weapons.
I really wanted to make replica of the mantis blade. But somehow it didn't work out, then there weren't enough screenshots, then something else.
Then a miracle happened, and the guys from CD Project RED posted a lot of screenshots with various cosplay weapons. And I managed to do it! True, there was still much to redo, because the blade was too weak and constantly broke, the mount on the arm was inconvenient, but now everything is fine.
And now I want to share photos with you, I also accept various orders here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/StrimSideCosplay?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

do we know if our cyberware have any effect with gangs?

    Posted: 25 May 2020 04:53 PM PDT

I don't mean like actual dialogue stuff, although maybe that's a thing, but like if we have a bunch of cyberware will gangs like maelstrom say anything about it? Will there be idle dialogue from npcs, like how in GTA civilians might comment on you having a nice vehicle? I'm asking this by, in any of the demos people saw did this kinda stuff happen.

    Cyberpunk,2077,Cyberpunk2077,Cyber,Punk,Samurai,Keanu,Reeves,Johnny,Silverhand,CDProjektRed,CDPR,Projekt,Wraiths,Maelstrom,Voodoo,Tyger,Valentino,Mox,Arasaka,Biotechnica,EBM,Infocomp,Kendachi,Lazarus,Merril,Petrochem,Microcybernetics,SovOil,Trauma,Zetatech,Netrunning,Netrunner,Militech,Yaiba,Kusanagi,Takemura,Altiera,Cunningham,Soulkiller,Soul-killer,Wizzie,Maxtac,Kiroshi,Saburo,Keicho,Lucessi,Stout,Jackie,Welles,Dexter,DeShawn,Microcybernetics,IEC,Braindance,Cyberware,Bioware,Neuralware,Wetware,Rayfield

If anyone has suggestions for more tags, feel free to put them in the comments and I'll update the main post. I have avoided the name 'V' because, well, otherwise everything would be flagged as a spoiler.

    - Added suggestions from u/SansNewRoman, u/darth_Zelyon0010110

    v1- 25 may 2020
