Militech "Spyder" Reconnaissance Duty full body-conversion, mainly designed for recon and probe. How much would you want to see a NPC with this kind of conversion in-game, perhaps spying on our V on behalf of a particular MegaCorp that we happened to enrage?

    Johnny Silverhands relationship with Militech

    Posted: 13 May 2020 09:59 PM PDT

In the Keanu Reeves e3 ign interview he says he was in Militech (a slip up) and corrects himself by saying military. We know from the official lore that Militech worked closely with military and police training providing them with high grade weapons and training. I believe Militech did some shady stuff causing Johnny to rebel and ultimately leading him to his death and likely many of his confidants. This seemingly emphasizes his role as seeking revenge on the corporations. One very important question arises from this: who would want to put Johnny on a chip? The only scenario in which I believe it could be a corp, other than their incredible technology, would be that one of the corps put him in a chip to disrupt one of the other corps during the corporate war. In terms of the gangs, I'm not sure whether they had enough tech to create such a thing but there is not too much information out there on their capabilities. If I had to choose any gang being able to do it would be the voodoo boys because of their abilities on the net. Thoughts?

If cybernetics were commerically avaliable, would you augment yourself? How far would you go? What would you pick?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 04:27 AM PDT

Would you want a few cool cosmetic upgrades? Or would you want to be a fully equipped borg?

I'd probably go with a couple of things like x-ray vision. As well as a few of the brain upgrades to access machines.

I also wouldn't mind maybe one robot hand. Just so then I could occasionally punch through a wall for no real reason.

Something I really hope they do with the next gameplay video is actually show the game running on Xbox or ps4.

    Posted: 13 May 2020 08:30 AM PDT

I'm really curious on how it looks and performs on those consoles. I remember them showing the Witcher 3 on console close to release. So maybe this time we will get the same thing with cyberpunk?

CDPR has a history of events in their trailers being actual events in the game's timeline/canon

    Posted: 13 May 2020 05:03 AM PDT

CDPR when marketing the Witcher 3 had a consistent approach to the trailers: show things that the player can actually do and tell real stories in them.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53MyR_Z3i1w

We can see that going back to their 2014 trailer which showed a multitude of viable events and gameplay elements. Obviously the graphical downgrade complaints between the trailers and the core game are viable but it should be mentioned that the vast majority of the events happening in the trailer are real events in the final game even down to the same camera angles for some. Every location you see in the trailer is in the main game. The biggest core difference is the conversation between Geralt and the king is different in the trailer compared to the game as well as the the footage. The scene of soldiers marching in the woods is also not in game. Another difference is that certain scenes of the Witchers fighting use different models instead of Geralt but the actual animations they are doing and the environments they are in are still consistent with the main game. Pretty much every scene from 1:30 onward is in the full game, just with lesser graphics.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0i88t0Kacs

Moving onto another trailer, this entire scene is canon in the game because it gets referenced in conversation while playing. It takes place before the main game. This isn't some non canon promotional tool made just to make Geralt look good.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-l29HlKkXU

This is probably the best example of a trailer being in game because not only is this trailer in canon, it's actually the latest event in the entire Witcher saga. This trailer is actually teasing the Blood and Wine DLC before the Witcher 3 itself had even come out, over a full year before BAW came out, and way before we even knew BAW existed. The castle in the background is actually in Toussaint that you yourself can go to and the creature that Geralt kills is an actual vampire character that Geralt meets in game and promises her that he will "come back for you later" which he clearly does in this trailer.

It should also be mentioned that everything that Geralt does in this trailer is a gameplay mechanic down to the exact potion he takes being black blood.

So how can we apply this to Cyberpunk 2077? Right now we have three trailers of CP77.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P99qJGrPNLs

CDPR has already said in an interview that the girl in the trailer isn't in game but that doesn't make it non canon. Perhaps the cop that shoots her is in game. Perhaps there is a scene of someone else with arm blades bent over in the street getting shot in the head in game. I tend to guess that this scene is like the "Killing monsters" trailer and that it's actually a prequel to the main game and that this event will referenced directly.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjxS9ciNlII

This is more like the 2014 trailer with flashing different events. It wouldn't surprise me if the animations are consistent with characters but the actual characters are not. Maybe it's someone else instead of Jackie sitting in the crowd at :39 for example. I imagine if CDPR is consistent, that the more unique scenes/events are in the final game almost exactly with little change between other than graphically such as the kid playing the VR game, the girl with the missing mouth doing her makeup, the redneck with the gun/pregnant lady, the man having his face explode on the plane, and the ship ambushing the guy with the bulletproof head. The characters involved might be different but the events themselves will happen.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LembwKDo1Dk

This trailer is harder to deduct because it looks like it's supposed to be in game where the player made a choice that got Jackie killed. We know that the characters featured are also in the gameplay demos so I'm guessing that this scene in particular is ingame and can actually be recreated in its entirety ingame depending upon the player's choices. The only part that seems different from this is Keanu's reveal because it makes it look like this is the first time you meet him. Maybe the first time you meet Johnny is actually after getting thrown in a landfill.

Hopefully there will be another trailer to deduct for canon notes before the game's release.

Is pre loading possible on GOG?

    Posted: 13 May 2020 09:52 AM PDT

I have a very slow Lan Connection(0,9 Mb/s) and where I buy the game decides on where it is pre loadable. I know steam has this function, but I want to support the devs. What about GOG?

The reason you can't augment too much is because 2077 follows the 2020 lore, which includes Cyberpsychosis.

    Posted: 13 May 2020 08:13 AM PDT

One of the great things about Cyberpunk 2077 is that it is part of the Cyberpunk tabletop universe which has been around since the 1980s and has vast amounts of lore. This gives you the ability to fully immerse yourself in an alternate reality, but it also limits you to that universe's rules. One of those rules is Cyberpsychosis.

Cyberpsychosis is a mental illness caused by an overload of cybernetic augmentations to the body. The Cyberpsycho loses their sense of identity as a person. They come to view regular people and other living things as weak and inferior. With their enhanced physical abilities and complete disregard for life, Cyberpsychos are extremely dangerous to anyone that crosses their path.

Cyberpsychosis can affect anyone eventually, but the less empathetic a person is, the more susceptible they are to it.

If Cyberpunk 2077 is faithful to the lore, and I think it will be, then we will need to make sure that our empathy stats are high enough if we want to get extra bits of gear, and I am sure that higher empathy will mean lower stats elsewhere.

Link to read more about Cyberpsychosis.

I need an advice for Cyberpunk 2077 preorder bonus.

I need an advice for Cyberpunk 2077 preorder bonus.

    Hi guys,

I would like to kindly ask you for advice or for your opinion about which pre order bonus to get with the game. In my country (Slovakia) quite a few various retailers offer pre orders of the game with various exclusive bonus items on top of the standard physical edition goodies. The choices are the following:

    1. Steelbook: I can choose one of four steelbooks (Voodoo Boys, Valentinos, Maelstrom, Tyger Claws). I did some research and Amazon seems to be offering the same pre order bonus. Could you tell me some details about these steelbooks?

    Voodoo Boys Steelbook illustration

    1. Printed wallpaper (worth 10 euros): I can choose one of four printed wallpapers. They contain
the same artwork like the steelbook covers.

    Printed Wallpapers

    1. Newspaper Cyberpunk 2077 - Original Comics (worth 18 euros): I have not found any information
what so ever about this product , seem to be really exclusive for that retailer. Does any of you
have any information about it? I only managed to find a very low quality picture of it.

    Cyberpunk 2077 - Original Comics

Which one would you guys pick and why? Looking forward for your opinions. Take care.
