Posted: 14 May 2020 09:21 PM PDT I'm talking about this one, at the beginning when V's ride drives up and drops him off. I managed to find that the song is Blouses by Sleep Steady, but it seems like it was uploaded in several places and has been taken down from all of them. No one really talks about it and it isn't available anywhere, apparently it got taken down from Spotify and YouTube multiple times... It's apparently a real, full song, and yet it seems so mysterious. What's up with it? [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 May 2020 06:20 PM PDT I know that CDPR has said that it is open world, and that we really don't know how "open" we are talking but I am looking for some conjecture here. How "open" do you think the game will be. Do you think that we will have large chunks of time that they will allow us to explore and get into shenanigans. Do you think that we will be able to over level for story quests and gear up significantly without progressing the story? I am personally hoping that they give us the power to grind and explore as much as we want and that worst case scenario they make it so story beats level along side us to keep it interesting and challenging. I am hoping that this discussion will let me set some realistic expectations for the game and not over hype it. [link] [comments]

A couple ideas about Johnny Silverhand, going by his music. Posted: 14 May 2020 05:44 PM PDT Disclaimer: I know little about the tabletop games in the franchise or much of the lore, so forgive me if these songs were already known thanks to Cyberpunk 2020. Chippin' In: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igq3d6XA75Y Never Fade Away: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IdMp-H9vhA So, I got back into the hype recently and found that the game's Youtube channel posted a pair of SAMURAI songs, "Chipping In" and "Never Fade Away". Now, given how they hid basically everything about Silverhand's presence in the game (aside from him being dead) until the E3 reveal last year, I paid attention to the lyrics in both songs and realized they just might be related to the story. Now, Chipping In being posted makes sense, as we've heard that one already, but why this particular other song, Never Fade Away, and why just these two? Well, the lyrics to Never Fade Away include lines such as "A thing of beauty will never fade away", and Chipping In has "Roll the bones - I'm chippin' in", "Can't kill me cuz I'm ones and zeroes", among others. Now, these lyrics at first sound like your regular rebel rock, yet they touch on Johnny now being a digital entity, unharmable and potentially immortal, a beauty that never fades made from ones and zeroes. So, my thinking is, he may have copied his mind into the chip V gets early in the story, which is what the ghost we meet is, and was likely willing to let his body perish so as to go about his anti-corp agenda under the radar, because who looks for a man whose death was witnessed? And, this chip may be the one described on the game's website as being the key to immortality, so Silverhand may have gotten to it first. The fact that his music is likely spread across years, he may have been planning all this for many years. TL;DR: Johnny Silverhand's music gives away that he may have copied his mind into the chip to continue his war against the corporations after death as a ghost made from code, and then let himself get killed in a very public manner, planning it all years in advance. Faction focused Content Expansion Packs Posted: 14 May 2020 01:40 PM PDT TLDR: Future Expansion packs focusing on faction stories over additional content for "V", yay or nay in your opinion? ----------- Do you think the story of "V" will continue in future expansion packs and dlc or could they be thinking about offering faction specific gameplay? Though of course I wouldn't mind it, I don't think big expansion packs have to necessarily extend the story of "V". For example Letting players create or be a new character in order to experience Night City from a specific faction's ranks. Such as letting us be a police officer or detective in NCPD in a district struggling with corruption, a story in the intense life of a Trauma Team doctor, or a corporate employee involved in a high level scheme, or a gang member caught up in a drug war. There are many possibilities for story driven experiences. [As for a criminal path, it'd be fantastic if a game allowed us to be the bad guy and win the story without turning good.] Being a mercenary allows "V" to interact with a lot of different people without officially really siding or identifying with anyone. Understandably it's supposed to give a varied taste of what Night City offers in terms of various factions, and it offers a lot of flexibility. To me, actually picking a side makes for interesting story telling in my opinion. Sure, the content is focused and not as wide in range as Mercenary, but Expansion packs could go deeper into the factions and let us play with one or more factions we encounter in the Main story of Cyberpunk 2077. Introducing us to their beliefs, their way of life. Roleplaying from their perspective Night City will be different than from a mercenary's point of view. "V"'s enemies in the Main story could be our best friends even. Plenty of room for interesting twists and turns, friends and foes and choices to be made. What do you think? [link] [comments]
The amazon description proves we will get 2 discs not one. Posted: 14 May 2020 11:42 AM PDT So in a previous post someone was asking if it would be 1 or 2 discs. If you read some of the descriptions for the game it lists discs as in 2 discs which proves how big the game will be. [link] [comments]

CDPR is kind of underselling their game. Let me explain Posted: 14 May 2020 10:57 PM PDT First, disclaimer: In no way am I saying CDPR are giving us a bad game with CP2077, in fact its quite the opposite. The gameplay has been nothing short of spectacular and this game has me hyped AF. Now on to the topic at hand: The open world looks gorgeous and has that gritty Neo-Noir Blade Runner atmosphere while at the same time having that sunny retro 80s California vibe. What I feel deep down is that the Deep Dive demo was a major disappointment unlike 2018. By having it set in the day it felt way too similar to the 48 minute demo. That being said, the 2019 CGI trailer blew me away when I saw the city at night. LIKE HOLY SHIT this is what I wanted to see ever since the game was announced and we got it. Still despite this, it was only a trailer and we still haven't seen the extent of the scale of Night City in gameplay. Concept art and cover art showed that there was undercity and verticality that was to a jaw dropping level. Watson and Pacifica looked very flat at times. Compare that to Westbrook, the City Center and Santo Domingo in concept art/gameplay and the Blade Runner aesthetic is in full force. Does this mean that their marketing campaign has been bad? No, I'm not saying that. However I really feel they aren't doing it to its maximum potential. We saw the sun drenched California aspect of Night City twice but now I think its time to show off the night time, rain soaked, neon filled Blade Runner atmosphere in all its glory with all its awesome scale on June 11th. It would be really strong way to cap off their marketing strategy before release and I think not doing it would be a missed opportunity [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 May 2020 10:56 PM PDT So I'm sure everyone here has seen the new Xbox One X, it looks bloody dope, but I have one question. If I were to buy it, once it releases June, do I also obtain a digital preorder code of CP77? Or is it just a collectors edition Xbox? [link] [comments]

Are there Cyberpunk books/audiobooks? Posted: 14 May 2020 08:52 AM PDT I know that the basis for the CDPR game is a pen and paper game by Mike Pondsmith. I wonder is there a book series similar to the Witcher? I recently read all The Witcher books and found out that I would have enjoyed the games much more if I had read them before playing. I wonder if there is a similarly large well of source material for CP77 one can consume prior to the game's release. [link] [comments] |
