What’re some things you’re hoping they include in the game and somethings that you don’t want in the game Posted: 20 Apr 2020 12:46 PM PDT So with this new RPG we're getting in September (fingers crossed) what're some things you're hoping to see that we don't know about yet? I know I'm hoping to see some gun customization on fallout 4 level. I know fallout 4 is one of the lesser liked games but I loved how you could loot literally anything and everything in the game and then turn around and use it for something. I'm really hoping they do something like that. V's Personality Posted: 20 Apr 2020 10:11 AM PDT As we have previously seen, V will at the very least have a background (Nomad, Street Kid, Corporate) which will lead to unique dialog options. But what interests me the most is if this history will continue to affect V's ambient dialog. Ambient dialog is just V responding to other characters without the player's input. Deep Dive V is cooly casual while also being kind of a sardonic smart-ass. Deep Dive V's Street Kid unique dialog options seem to coincide with this as they talked with The Voodoo Boys and the Netwatch agent in the Deep Dive video. They radiate confidence, but reject corpo deals outright (possibly having to do with knowing how untrustworthy corpos are), and keep all their allies and enemies at arm's length. I've noticed in the 2018 demo V's ambient dialog is sarcastic, flippant, and arrogant. But they are also incredibly knowledgeable and seem to know nearly as much as Jackie about the ins and outs of being a small-time merc for hire. My question is whether you guys think V's ambient dialog will change according to their past? For example, a Nomad V may seem much more trusting and sincere to their friends or potential allies, and while they don't know about the culture of Night City, they have extensive knowledge about tech. The Corpo V would be very interesting though. A former corpo who was at the top of Night City now having to grovel and take dirty jobs to get back on top would make a fascinating personality. I would also expect that they are very good at making deals, persuasion, and negotiation. The separate lines wouldn't even have to happen often, just something like in the Deep Dive video when Placide asks: "You know Pacifica well?" The Street Kid V says "Nah, You guys aren't exactly great at rollin' out the welcome mat for outsiders." I like that sentence because it connotes that as a Street Kid, you know of it, how dangerous it is and its connection to gang activity: thus are more informed than the average person. A Nomad may say something connoting their ignorance of living in a city at all, while a Corpo may say something about knowing its former potential as a resort center. Nothing big, just a few extra lines here or there, but I'd say it would greatly enhance V's personality, and of course the replayability and role-playing aspects. submitted by /u/TownAlps [link] [comments]
