    cyberpunk 2077 map (wip) [.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:28 PM PST

// hey everyone, last week i posted about being inspired by rdr2map and to gauge anyones interest about a revamped cyberpunk map ahead of cp77's release. this could obviously lead to something like an interactive site or app... but for now i wanted to show some progress of a vectorized map. this is very much a work in progress.

// please see the result here.

// if you would like to see the overlays for the existing map,

    -and-

// i basically grabbed the high-res images of both front and back of the book from the amazon product page of the limited collectors edition guide here. from there i figured out the measurements of the book and cut out both front, back, and spine in photoshop. stretching it with the same dimensions as the printed book i can get a rough view of what the map will look like dead on. this also helps with clarity on the roads, landscape, and even the little things like a tunnel system.

// in image #2 it's the exact color scheme as what will be the printed book. i used this to layout the book, played with the levels and exposure adjustments... and was surprised with what i ended up in image #3. from this i could see things i couldn't actually see previously. if you look south and south/middle, you will see some sort of rough drawing of what looks like city blocks and buildings! i was pretty excited about this. i was even able to see very thin roads (possible one lane roads or even dirt roads?) on the north east and east edge of the map.

// i worked with image #3 and basically brought it into illustrator and vectorized the entire thing manually. i tried to keep this as exact as possible, down to the pixel. from there i exported it here for you guys.

    // some things to note;

    • this will obviously be updated over time since the map isn't 100% correct (even the sizing)
    • i plan to add buildings next. if you reference image #3 you will see the buildings clearly
    • i plan on organizing this as best as i possibly can, complete with different color schemes; cyberpunk yellow, neon red, electric blue, and of course, sentinel gray (a.k.a. dark mode)
    • eventually i can get a real map reference; a book scan or purchase an existing cp77 guide and use that

    // what i would love from you guys once i get the building foundation set down;

    • to freely use my high resolution image of the map to start laying down what you guys think each location is, gang hideouts, buildings, street names, whatever you want
    • give me some stuff you might like to see if a future real map is a possibility

// again, this is super rough, but it's a start! i'd love to get you guys' feedback in the meantime.

// goofed on the title, oops :(

Is the new Takemura Funko Pop in an older promotional image?

Is the new Takemura Funko Pop in an older promotional image?

So I just heard about this new Funko Pop coming out named Takemura. Apparently this character isn't in the lore so far so he is probably a new character.
This reminded me of a promotional image on the Cyberpunk2077 twitter.

Am I seeing things or are these the same guys?

Assuming Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive success....

What are the chances of a Cyberpunk Netflix series? Is this something that would be feasible?

Sincere apologies if this has been posted before.

    Next-Gen Support won't need a full port?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 11:40 PM PST

(I'm going to use Xbox for reference in this point.)

The Next-Gen Xbox console (Series X) is set to be able to back-compat play all previous generation and current generation games, including Cyberpunk 2077. This technically means that Cyberpunk will be able to be played on next gen consoles day one. However, it's how it'll will take advantage of next gen. Many past games (360 and OG Xbox) that have been brought into current gen Xbox one consoles have had an update to improve performance and graphics quality on those systems, particularly for 'Xbox One X Enhanced' updates (obviously for Xbox One X). So my question is, for Cyberpunk to take advantage of next gen consoles (this would be be the same for PS5 also though), would it need a full port, or could it have a 'Xbox Series X Enhanced' / 'PS5 Enhanced' update to include ray-tracing, larger crowds, higher-res graphics, etc. ? If this is the case, a 'port' / Next-Gen version wouldn't take as long, right? What do you guys think? (Sorry if this was a bit wordy)

What are your ideas for your player characters in 2077 or Red?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 05:28 PM PST

Since we all need to wait around a little longer now maybe this will give us a chance to come up with more detailed ideas about the characters we're going to play as in 2077 or even in Cyberpunk Red. I really like coming up with ideas before a game with a customizable character releases as a way to get hyped and immerse myself in the world before playing it so I wanted to ask if anyone has done the same.

For me the character I've put the most thought into is Vicky Vasquez. As you might tell from the name I originally intended him to be V but he might be my Red PC too (provided I can find anyone to play with!). He's a Puerto Rican refugee (I figured Puerto Rico probably suffered similar natural disasters due to climate change that Haiti suffered in the lore, bringing the Voodoo Boyz to NC) and former joyboy. I figured he got his shot to get off the streets when a former john of his who was a Solo named Ridge was killed and left him everything he had because they kinda fell in love or something tragic like that. If I play as him in Red I want to play him as a fixer who uses at least some of the money and resources he gets from his job to try and help other folks on the streets, especially refugees/immigrants and sex workers because of his background.

What are your ideas for your Cyberpunk characters? I'm super curious to know!

    Male V haircut

I was wondering if someone could give a specific idea of what to ask for to get a haircut like the male V. For example, 2 on the sides...

Why is this game based off a table top RPG?

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 03:25 PM PST

Not hating at all, but I just wonder why this decision was made? Like why not make it based off of blade runner or something?
