- The game being FPP it's not a problem, the fact that in a Cyberpunk game we can't see our characters often in cutscene it's a problem.
- Did my man just my say "spread your cheeks!" is that where the juice goes?

First Person Only Cutscenes not confirmed Posted: 01 Sep 2019 12:37 PM PDT Community podcast asked both Paweł Sasko (who was in chat) and Lilayah about the cyberpunk facebook screenshot (about how there is no third person in cutscenes) and both said they can't confirm or deny anything, so it's still up in the air. Posted: 01 Sep 2019 01:37 PM PDT If you are angry now, or have doubts, you're not sure anymore... then just wait. You don't have to pre-order the game now, tomorrow or later. Let it all out if you must or feel like it and then just wait and make sure. No one is forcing you, you're not bad or have lesser value than people who did pre-order or feel confident. You are still part of this community, no one is sending you away for not being "IN". Like CDPR said: Wait for reviews or for more material to come out. There is still time. Here are the files from the Unboxing Trailer with .txt with the message. [link] [comments]

What's the Point of an Expansive Character Creator If We Never See Our Character? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 01:27 PM PDT I understand CD Projekt Red wants the game to be immersive, but appreciating our character that we project ourselves onto IS part of the immersion process. Seeing them in cut scenes let's us enjoy the aesthetics of the game, and helps the imagination transition more easily into the character. It feels more cinematic, more immersive to enjoy a cut scene when I can see myself projected in the game.
Please, CDPR; please consider including more third person options. Even if it's just a toggle in the menu. Do not be afraid to go the route of Skyrim and Fallout 4, both very successful and immersive first person games due to their camera choices.
If you really feel strongly about not having a third person combat camera, at least have a cinematic third person camera in cut scenes so I can enjoy this beautiful world that you've created.
You talk about player freedom, so leave the choice of immersion up to the player! [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Sep 2019 04:40 PM PDT For a lot of people the pure Cyberpunk fantasy is the character customization. Making a badass character in that world. And the character creation system seems amazing. Limiting that only from reflection and mirrors it's just a bad idea and I literally can't think of why we should just slip on that. I love CDPR, but this is a huge deal for me and a lot of people. Also, they marketed the game with third person cutscenes, a statement it's literally a must thing to do. We all should ask for a statement. [link] [comments]

I think there aren't going to be as many cutscenes in the game as some people think Posted: 01 Sep 2019 06:42 PM PDT With a lot of the discussion about third person vs first person cutscenes I think a lot of people are expecting a much more cutscene heavy game than what Cyberpunk 2077 is looking to be. Think back that 2018 gameplay demo. Almost everything was kept in-game. When you talked to people, riding in the car with Dex, calling the corpo agent, finding the girl in the bathtub, getting the cyberware upgrade. All first person, all as in game as possible The game very clearly does it's best to keep players in the role of the character and in the first person gameplay feel as much as they can manage. Out of the entire demo there was only like 10-15 seconds of real cutscene where you were completely out of gameplay or in third person. The point the game very much seems to be going for is that you are V. You see through their eyes you make the story choices for them, you feel like them as you walk around the city and experience the world and the adventure from their point of view. This is very different to previous games like Witcher 3. In Witcher 3 you weren't Geralt. You controlled Geralt, you made some choices as Geralt but Geralt himself was a very pre-defined character with the player being more of an interactive observer guiding him than the actually being him. Whereas the player is meant to really step into the role of V and make V their own. That's why you create them, that's why the game goes to the extent it does to try and keep things in first person, that's why they've put as much effort into differing playstyles, gameplay paths, and story choice as they have. Because the point isn't to have a bunch of cutscenes where you are watching V go through the story. You are V going through the story. With as little in the way of cutscenes or otherwise breaking that experience as possible. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Sep 2019 05:25 AM PDT So I tried looking for this on here before but couldn't find it. From a thread on the CDPR forum it looks like it has been confirmed that TPP cutscenes are gone. I know everyone was talking about it a few days ago but most people then seemed to be saying it was just the dialogue type cutscenes. Given that this seems pretty clear cut that it's the opposite I thought people would like to know. [link] [comments]

CDPR, when will you finally show us "Nightcity" by night? Posted: 01 Sep 2019 01:57 PM PDT Title says it all, don't you guys think it's a bit weird that besides the 2015 teaser and 2018 pre rendered trailer (inengine trailer not gameplay trailer) we haven't seen nightcity by night at all so far? Like the original 2015 teaser gave me that Cyberpunk feel immediately but everything shown from the gameplay blowout so far doesn't quite resemble that look, meanwhile the devs mentioned the fully day and night cycle quite often before. Same goes for the dynamic weather system that we haven't really seen much of yet. Is there even a single screenshot showing rain so far? [link] [comments]

Thoughts on the first-person only cutscenes rumour Posted: 01 Sep 2019 06:00 PM PDT So, while I'm not 100% filled-in on the exact specifics of how this rumour came to be brought out, I thought I'd just share my thoughts and see how others feel. That's why we can post here anyways, right? So, I'm admittedly a bit disappointed by this. In RPGs, I'm a big fan of creating my own character and seeing them in cutscenes. It's a big part of why I enjoy games like Dragon Age, and why I'm looking forward to upcoming games like Greedfall. It's very satisfying to craft your own "look" and see it displayed in cutscenes. I guess, in a way, it's like creating a character for a novel and seeing their exact visage come to life. What's somewhat puzzling to me is that, not long ago, CD Projekt Red stated that they had expanded upon the character creation menu. If that was the case, wouldn't you think they would feature your character's appearance more prominently? This isn't a dealbreaker for me in the slightest, but a mild disappointment. I do like the idea of interacting with characters in first-person to feel like I'm there myself, speaking as V, but I also like to have the occasional shot to show off the (sometimes) hours I've spent crafting my character. How do you all feel about this, if it's true? [link] [comments]
