I watched an NPC set herself on fire today. Gotta love Night City!

I just started the game after a year of hesitation, what is your best advice to a brand new player ?

I'm still incredibly bitter about the time skip at the beginning

    Posted: 26 Aug 2021 12:09 PM PDT

It's basically CDPR hitting you with:

"Look at all the cool shit you won't get to do in this game !"

Would probably have been my favorite part as well, I'm sure I'm not alone thinking that.

I would like to get confirmation at some point if it was supposed to be a playable part of the game or not. They're introducing a completely new franchise and universe that they're gonna build upon for years, characters you're supposed to build a strong relationship with, and they just skip all of that ?

This is just baffling to me

I really don't understand (just a personal opinion)

    Posted: 26 Aug 2021 06:07 AM PDT

I don't understand the hate, I decided to give this game a try, and i found it great, yes, I've found some bugs (like 4 in around 30 hours but i'm still like halfway through) none of them game breaking, just funny ones, yes, IA could be a bit smarter, but everything else, i loved it, and this comes from someone who played games like fallout 3, new vegas and 4, the outer worlds, far cry 3, 4 and 5, witcher 3 and skyrim. I like the combat, i like the missions, haven't found them repetitive, i like the guns, i like crafting, i like the variety in gear and cars, there are a lot more things to like than to complain to, i think this game is very good, not as legendary as people expected it to be before launch, but is a very good game! in a year or so, it's going to be awesome! congratz to CDPR devs (I know the early release wasn't your fault)

    Finished cyberpunk

    Posted: 26 Aug 2021 08:01 PM PDT

    My two thoughts:

    1. Excellent game and the pinnacle of game visuals of a massive world.

    2. Wow that was a short game.

    Thoughts regarding clouds

    Posted: 26 Aug 2021 08:22 PM PDT

So,I just did the clouds encounter and I think the in game reason why you are given two choices is due to Johnny's engram.

Small detail: different cans / containers have a different color of the "cloud" appearing on the hit and also create a splash of a different color.

    Johnny's The Tower Tattoo Explained

    Posted: 26 Aug 2021 04:00 PM PDT

Ok, SO, we know the tattoo depicts the tarot card of The Tower, a card that symbolizes chaos, destruction, fear of change, and impending disaster- and it does several things:

    1. Serves as a metaphor for Johnny himself, the way he lays waste to friends and enemies alike.
    2. Represents Johnny's experience during the fall of Arasaka Tower
    3. It literally depicts that very night visuallyNow points 1 and 2 we've already heard or thought about but i think, but i don't remember anyone point out the last point. I was looking at the tattoo, wondering if i could figure something out, and the more i looked the more things i noticed.

    Johnny The Tower Tattoo

First i noticed two figures, one on each side of the tower (pink): one on the left, holding a sword connected to what looked like a body on the floor(blue); the other on the right, holding an upside down head of a bearded man with sunglasses (blue). Thought it was a coincidence at first "hah hah can't unsee", then it downed on me that it could be Adam Smasher cutting johnny in half, like in the ttrpg while Alt holds his head, her being the reason Johnny decided to go to Arasaka Tower in the first place and why he ends up as an Engram due to her creating Soulkiller. Then i noticed the whole cene was being hold inside the outline of a nuke (impending disaster alright). While i'm not sure about the frist two letters' meaning, it's safe to say that the NC means "Night City", with the Moon representing the C, both as a wink to the name itself but also about it being the night the scene occurs.
