For all who ask how the reveal of patch 1.3 went: Posted: 17 Aug 2021 09:20 AM PDT First, the dev team came on stage and apologized for the poor launch of the game. They said that they wanted to make up for it and put most of their focus in the last months on performance improvements, QoL and 'environmental changes' (meaning putting more life into the game). Then they presented the long list of changes, incl. minimap, police spawning, spawning in general really, perks, and a lot lot lot of major and minor bug / glitch optimizations. It looked really promising! They teased one big DLC concerning Judy and showed initial videos from the next-gen patch coming October. ..... ok I am just kidding. They are just chatting casually about how you can feed a cat, how you can smirk now in the mirror, and that there will be a lot of "very small" DLCs until someday a major one is released. I am actually shocked by what I am seeing right now, tune in if you want: https://www.twitch.tv/cdprojektred [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 Aug 2021 09:19 AM PDT You guys are championing being able to use a scroller on the crafting screen as an improvement. 2 jackets as DLC. WOW. Bug fix for the Cloud quest. Oh V can look in the mirror? Broken perks? Don't worry - we fixed SOME of them. Unfucking believable. [link] [comments]

CDPR needs to drop support for last gen consoles as soon as they can Posted: 17 Aug 2021 07:24 PM PDT I played the game on last gen. I like last gen. I can't get a new gen console because I'm pretty sure they only ever made like five and scalpers bought four. Alright, let's ignore the fact CDPR shouldn't have sold a game that can't function on last gen. We all essentially agree it was a shitty thing to do. We all recognize it was irresponsible of them. But what happened, happened, and now CDPR is tied down patching a new gen game for old gen consoles. It became evident in the stream today that basically all their biggest difficulties stem from the fact the game is so tolling on old hardware that patches that work on PC or PS5 often don't on PS4s or Xbox ones. The only way this ball gets rolling is when CDPR recognizes they need to fork development into making a functional game for last gen and then abandoning it all together. How do they do this? I don't know. Offer perpetual refunds on it? I'm unsure how the logistics of it would work, but it's becoming more and more obvious if Cyberpunk 2077 is to have a future it's going to have to leave the old consoles behind. And I don't think it's not a disgrace to do so, I just think it's impossible NOT TO at this point. Content and patches are being made based on what the lowest grade hardware can handle. If CDPR plans to bet on CP77, this is their only option. Otherwise this game is doomed to occupy the space of Assassins Creed a few years after release rather than The Witcher & GTA V. It won't be a comeback like No Man's Sky Posted: 17 Aug 2021 12:52 PM PDT My concerns have been confirmed today - this won't be a comeback like No Man's Sky. NMS developers, after they screwed release, just cutted of from the community to not make any additional expectations, they were working hard for months, decided that they focus on improvements and don't give a shit about marketing. Then out of nowhere they started dropping patches, which finally made NMS surpass what it was in the promises before the launch. And CDP Red? CDP still haven't learned anything, they still make promises which end up with players even more pissed off than they were before. What was the point of the roadmap if they weren't able to stick to any of its deadlines? Why they have announced DLCs back then if they knew people are going to be expecting something like extra quests, but they only made some jackets and skins which are a product of hour or two by a 3D graphic designer work xD WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS? This is a managerial farce, they said few times before that they expect Cyberpunk to have a comeback like NMS, but they apparentely don't understand how that comeback looked like in the first place and why players started to trust Hello Games again. It's over for me, I don't believe in any of the words they will tell us in the future, it just don't make any sense, it's time to let go. If anyone wants to understand how NMS made a comeback and regained gamers trust, I recommend this Internet Historian piece of art - IMO it explains perfectly how the game was saved and shows how CDPR management still doesn't understand what they should do. 8 MONTHS FOR 2 JACKETS AND A CAR Posted: 17 Aug 2021 09:33 AM PDT is this a joke? and now they want to charge you for dlc's too (edit: im saying the expansions you have to pay for, your jacket you waited 8 months for you can have for free) BOYCOT THESE SCAMMERS [link] [comments]

Posted: 17 Aug 2021 03:32 PM PDT No word of Police / Wanted level upgrades No general AI fixes. No mention of the Subway / Monorail system No word on Barbershops No word on purchasable apartments. Free DLC's are a joke. Biggest fail for a AAA game. The game is nowhere near from CDPR's promises and advertisements. The core of the game is utterly a mess which means patches are simply not enough to fix it. GTA V's AI are even better compared to the AI of this game. You would think at this point they would at least try to improve this game, but after the announcement of the latest update I shocked myself by not really being that surprised. It feels like they are working on features that are not really important and not really trying to make up for the dumpster fire that was the launch of the game. The major issues of the game such as the police, the lack of variety, physics when driving are one thing, but they should really also look at working on the features they promised before launch. By doing that they may also reclaim some of the reputation they have tarnished so much. [link] [comments]
This developer stream may have inadvertently told us why development has been so agonizingly slow. Posted: 17 Aug 2021 10:02 AM PDT While watching the stream, one of the developers responded to inquiries from chat about how mods had already implemented a new map feature that is going to be put in patch 1.3 In response, they stated that console players do not have access to mods and CDPR cannot move forward ignoring the millions playing on consoles, but within that he mentioned something else. I'm paraphrasing, but "When we went to make this change, we were running into memory issues. Since the map data streams in real time, enlarging the minimap requires more resources. We had to develop this change for over 8 different consoles, including the ps4, Xbox one, their pro variants, and the new generation." From this, I glinted that CDPR is being pressured (by consumers, stock holders, console companies, upper management, whatever it is I'm not sure) to ensure that every patch and dlc will be able to run on even the oldest last gen consoles. And sometimes if something is hogging too many resources, you have to start from the ground up building it to get it to fit. This is completely unreasonable at this point considering the base game barely runs on the last gen consoles. My personal opinion: I completely understand that CDPR made a promise to the last gen console players that their game would run. It was absolutely despicable how it was advertised before release, and I understand it is unfair to console players who were lied to. However, since the base game is now at least playable, I feel as though CDPR needs to place a priority on the new generation or at the very least the pro series of last gen. By taking this please everyone approach they are pleasing nobody. They need to own up to their failure instead of trying to patch it up with duct tape and ignoring everybody else. Perhaps the powers that be (Sony and Microsoft) won't allow them to release content exclusively to certain console types, in which case it sucks but that's life. I'm not saying this because I want my dlc faster. I haven't even played the damn game since a month after release. It's not a part of my life and if they didn't update it ever again I would move on, but this pussy-footing can't continue. If they want to release the grand scale dlc which I'm sure they have the ideas for, they can't keep being chained down by obsolete technology. [link] [comments]

In case you sold your cat food Posted: 17 Aug 2021 10:36 PM PDT I sold the cat food a day before I realised that we can get the cat. So I looked everywhere to buy it. And I found it at the food vendor in Kabuki market. There you have a net runner and gun shop and that food vendor. I am not sure if it changes or not, but it was the first one that had any for me. Good luck. [link] [comments]
List of leaked DLC's compared to revealed DLC's Posted: 17 Aug 2021 09:55 AM PDT 1) dlc1_swp – Possible "Smart" weapon pack 2) dlc2_jposes – Likely additional poses for photo mode 3) dlc3_kab01 – Likely Kabuki Market gig
6) dlc6_apart – Possible apartment customization 7) dlc7_pwp - Possible "Power" weapon pack 8) dlc8_mirror – Possible additional poses for the mirror, or maybe a way to alter your appearance at last 9) dlc9_arr06 – Likely Arroyo gig 10) dlc10_monster – Not sure, maybe they're adding a literal boss monster to the map somewhere. Or it could be like a Monster Truck you can buy.
12) dlc12_mfinish – Likely melee finisher animations (The Witcher 3 got these) 13) dlc13_twp - Possible "Tech" weapon pack 14)dlc14_arr12 – Likely Arroyo gig 15) dlc15_ngplus – Very clearly New Game Plus, which I hope comes with higher difficulty settings 16) dlc16_jpn06 – Likely Japantown gig 17) dlc17_bwp – Possible "Blunt" weapon pack [link] [comments]
People shitting on this game because they still care Posted: 17 Aug 2021 07:01 PM PDT Here is another rant I can understand that even the smallest change can take so much time in development but holy shit.. 8 months and they only fix shit that should have done BEFORE release. After all those patches the game still feel literally zero different and the promised dlc? fucking laughable. fix your shit [link] [comments]

Twitch stream about new Patch seemed like nothing changed, patch notes tell a different story. Posted: 17 Aug 2021 10:46 AM PDT I was watching the twitch stream going over the new features for 1.3 and my god was that cringy at times. I get that they were trying to have a bit different of an approach but at least have a structured agenda when 26k people are watching. After looking at the patch notes though, they did a TON of work. Now I understand why they only did a few small superficial net new adds. They really didn't communicate how many changes were being implemented though. It seemed like they were only implementing like 5 or 6 things and they weren't all that major. When you look at the patch notes though, there are hundreds of changes. I would maybe make sure to communicate out high level all the changes being implemented and not just discuss the small things being implemented.
