(e.g a question about lore fits the Discussion flair more than the Question flair)

Each week, we'll aim to add the most frequently asked questions to the thread itself and we'll look for a way to reward members who actively answer questions from other members.

If traffic is mostly commuters and commuters are mostly from suburbs that no longer exist in 2077 then traffic in 2077 would be less than modern day. Mega Highways abandoned. The wealthy flying over wastelands. The sharp peaks of the city striking up at the sky, a last dying gasp of humanity.

Decided on a 2nd playthrough to see if the game was doing better after all the patches

It's been relatively smooth. But I just did the Arasaka heist with Jackie, and when he pulls the biochip out his head to give to me, it's actually one of his massive pistols that was suddenly jutting out of his head, and he just pulls the gun out of his head and pushes it through my face.

I laughed. Also 14 hours no crash on Series X and it runs great, but only in performance mode :/

    This game is Amazing!

    Posted: 05 Jul 2021 11:10 PM PDT

I installed the game a few days ago patch 1.23 as I wanted to wait until the rocky launch had Mostly been sorted out. I have not had any of the bugs and glitches I have seen on YouTube, I have had a character walk through my car that I parked in missions but meh not that bad. I am blown away by the graphics and reflections that the game has, I play PC with a 3070 set to ultra and the reflections are jaw dropping. Combat is fun being able to hack things rather than just shoot everyone. Well done developers.

Example of a cut content: player's garage and his cars.

In July 2019, Paweł Sasko explained that players will have a garage and keep multiples of cars and motorcycles in it.

In the 2018 version of the game, the elevator in the V mega block had 4 stops:

    - services (I suspect that there was some administration here, maybe something related to the unpaid rent, which we find out on computer V - I did not find any trace of this floor in the game),

    - apartments

    - parking

    - the lobby

The parking stop is above the entrance - I conclude that the elevator was supposed to stop at this point:

It is the roof of the garage, 4th floor. There is direct access to the Night City highway from here. The problem is that this is a connecting floor, most of the player's cars would probably be parked on the lower floors from 1 to 3. So the player would have to run 3 floors to get his car to floor 1 - pissing off the hell. As there was no physical possibility of extending the number of stops in the elevator system, they made an additional strictly garage elevator - you can enter it to the left of V's apartment. The elevator also has 4 stops: garage levels 1-3 and a residential level, i.e. the maximum limit of elevator stops. However, for some reason levels 2 and 3 are disabled and the elevator does not work even though the stops themselves are ready, only the elevator call buttons are missing.

The garage itself has been carefully designed. Random cars are standing, there are advertisements, some living quarters, it looks realistic. It is connected to the rest of the city by two entrances - on the ground floor it connects directly with the watson and the square in front of the entrance to the mega block. On the 4th floor there is a direct exit to the Night City highway. In this way, the player can quickly and easily get either to the Watson area or take the highway to another district. The player can quickly take the elevator to the level where a specific car is parked.

The entire garage is an example of a very good level design and how to overcome engine limits (max 4 buttons in the elevator).

And that the mechanics of keeping cars in the garage have been cut out? Well. The game remembers the positions of all purchased cars and possibly one last stolen car. The garage also has some mechanics for memorizing vehicles, but once they work, sometimes they don't. Personally, I think there was no time for polish plus, they didn't know how to make some nice interface to manage it all.

Worth maxing out technical attribute to craft legendary iconic weapons?

    Posted: 05 Jul 2021 06:30 PM PDT

Just started the game and I know attribute points are limited. Is maxing out technical useful if I have a gun focused playstyle? It's my first playthrough and spray and praying is a lot easier. I love many of the iconic weapons such as lizzie and widowmaker so far and getting them to legendary seems like a good idea as it gives more stat bonuses such as multipliers.
