Six Months after release I've finally finished the game... Posted: 28 Jun 2021 04:38 PM PDT All i can say about my time in Cyberpunk, is that i wish there was more to this world, it was a very empty and shallow feeling world and for me the story wasn't good enough to offset that emptiness. The entire time I just kept saying out loud "I wish this was better, and I wish it was Shadowrun instead of Cyberpunk". There are good ideas in Cyberpunk but none of them gel together in a cohesive manner. Its like you can feel the schizophrenic design as you play. With that being said I can see why people love this game, and I'm happy for those who do, but for me it did not scratch that cyberpunk itch. PS. I do however hope that some Dev out there looks at cyberpunk and says,"I'm gonna do that right", and we get a full fledged Shadowrun Game. [link] [comments]

Shaming others for enjoying the game. Posted: 28 Jun 2021 02:08 PM PDT I am under constant impression that saying here that you have enjoyed the game makes you somewhat of a public enemy. And as a community member here wanted to say a few things about current situation. I think that: It is fine to enjoy the game and say it was the best game that you've had ever played. It is fine to say to someone that you do not think that in your opinion this game is not gem/it is bad game/ it is terrible game. Because let's face it Cyberpunk requires a lots and I mean a LOTS of tweaks, fixes and DLCs to fully deliver on what was promised. However from what I observe there is a plenty of people that are lashing out on other players when they say that game was ok to then and they have enjoyed it. Just because CDPR did not deliver (I hope yet) on the things that they have promised. And this is totally uncool. I've read across answers to people like "you must then not played the other games / your taste is s*it etc. etc. And trying to be as objective as I can I say that is indeed a fact that game under delivered on many promises that were told during numerous interviews and trailers. There are players that were not interested in all of these promises and bought the game for other reasons and believe it or not they have enjoyed it. They loved the graphics/night city designs/plot/universe/gunplay and other things that CP77 is good at. I don't think that the current CP77 is even close right now to be called masterpiece. I do however think that foundations are solid and there is a room for improvement. Improvements that CDPR is working right now. So please you dont go ballistic on people that have enjoyed their pizza, even though you were expecting - understandably - life changing plate of cheesy marvel. All I want to say: I have enjoyed CP77 and I am tired of pretending that I did not. Now I am drifting off to low sodium cause I know that some of you may tell me that that is the place that I should go to. P.S. I still believe in CDPRs redemption story. And I know that plenty of you will call for that - naive. Cheers chooms. [link] [comments]
Who else wishes there was a third person mode? Posted: 28 Jun 2021 12:59 PM PDT I just played the witcher 3 for the first time, and even though the start was pretty slow for me, i fell in love with the game. It has all the rpg elements that an rpg should have, and the world is beautiful. Even though we are given a set character (Geralt) and a third person perspective, i felt that i was far more immersed into the world of witcher than i ever was with night city. As for cyberpunk 2077, i understand that cdpr devs decided to go with the first person route to ensure players get as much "immersion" as they can while playing, but frankly all i hav gotten out of the first person camera was headaches (especially driving). Im all for first person shooters (cod, borderlands, titanfall, halo, etc. just to name a few), but cyberpunk 2077 was meant to be more than just a simple fps. On that note, i could be asking for too much. Seeing as things are going right now, im not expecting an official third person mode to ever come out. Too bad mods arent available for console players :/ [link] [comments]
Has CDPR ever said what gameplay mechanics they intend to "fix"? Posted: 28 Jun 2021 12:30 PM PDT So one of the things mentioned in yesterday's "satisfactory stability level" announcement was that efforts were now being shifted toward gameplay fixes. Have they ever talked about what kind of gameplay fixes they plan to make specifically? I realize it's probably in their best interests to keep it close to their vest, but they have said they want to be transparent about everything. I don't necessarily believe any corpo that says that, but perhaps people that have been watching things more closely than I have picked up on some things? I've been taking the 'wait till it's finished' approach - protecting my blessed virginity so that my first time can be pure. But I read something recently that made me think they were pivoting toward dlc and new content, so I decided to take the dive. Now that I've started I doubt I'll be stopping to wait for these new/improved mechanics, but I would be interested to know what things they see as still broken. [link] [comments]

Base ps4 player here. The game runs good now, even in combat Posted: 28 Jun 2021 04:36 PM PDT I am starting a new fresh corpo run and the game runs great now! I can finally do shootouts without having ai delay issues or music that doesn't play. But one problem persists, the fact that the areas don't load fast enough if you reach them with a car running fast and sometimes you won't hear nothing and doors won't be loaded so you'll see many things that look broken and will load in front of you. But other than this the game is going great for now [link] [comments]
