Weekly Megathread: FAQ & Simple Questions Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:00 AM PST Hey! This is our weekly FAQ & Simple Questions thread that will be posted at 6am EST every Monday. Notes: - Use this thread for all of your simple/short questions. - Posts submitted with the question flair will be redirected here. - If you want to post a question to trigger a discussion, we suggest using the discussion flair instead. (e.g a question about lore fits the Discussion flair more than the Question flair) Each week, we'll aim to add the most frequently asked questions to the thread itself and we'll look for a way to reward members who actively answer questions from other members. Posted: 08 Mar 2021 04:57 PM PST Has anyone else explored the ground floor of V's megabuilding? In some of the trailers we see the elevator had more accessible floors. If you walk to the edge of the walkway and look down to the bottom floor you'll see NPCs wandering around a series of food stands. However, walking paths are blocked to get there. More interestingly, you'll find no way to jump down without dying. I think most people then assume it's just set dressing and ignore it, but it's worth an explore. After probing around with Cyber Engine Tweaks to fly in God Mode, I've found CDPR specifically placed a death barrier in to keep you from reaching this area. It doesn't matter how you try to jump your way down from ledge to ledge, you immediately get zeroed if you touch the barrier. God mode won't save you, this invisible death cube immediately subtracts MILLIONS of points from your health and zeroes you anyway (you can see what it does by toggling God Mode when you hit it while in Fly mode). Where it gets interesting is I did manage to make my way down there. By using flight, I clipped through the floor in V's apartment, keeping me outside the edge of the invisible death cube. While exactly level with the floor of the bottom level, I moved forward and was actually able to reach the floor. Exiting fly mode, I was able to walk around freely on the floor down there. This part of the building was obviously meant to be accessible at some point pretty late into development, as the details are very finished. The food stands are fully detailed, and there are even items scattered around (though nothing special, it's mostly junk items and 69 eurodollars sitting out). If you reach this though, DO NOT JUMP as the invisible death square is just above your head and will kill you. There are also two staircases leading out of the area, but if you step up them you will hit the death barrier. However, there are detailed hallways at the top of the stairs. I imagine exploring them would reveal how you were supposed to access the area. If you go to the weight machine near Fred, hug the wall, and use Fly to move straight down through the floor, you can actually reach the top of one of these staircases without dying. If you walk toward the stairs you'll die, but if you hug the wall you can kind of avoid the death cube and explore a bit to find there are vending machines placed around these hallways. Just a fun little explore I did in the game. I've not seen many talking about it, so I thought I'd share to encourage others to see what they can find in this area. [link] [comments]

After 60+ hours of play the game went from tolerable bugs to unplayable out of nowhere Posted: 08 Mar 2021 01:58 PM PST Like the title says, I have a little more than 60 hours in Night City and have experienced bugs here and there but have mostly enjoyed the game as the bugs didn't really get in my way. All of a sudden the frequency and severity of the bugs increased dramatically. No matter what mission I try to to there comes a point where I can't open I door I need to or pick up an item I'm quested to retrieve. It doesn't even give me the option amd on top of that texture packs stopped loading and the physics have gone haywire. All within the last hour of play. Loading previous saves does nothing to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this? [link] [comments]
