    The last Bird in NC

The game was on PSN for 8 days, and has been off it for 86 days

Rtx on screenshots. This game is f*cking beautiful. Took with RTX 2070.

Fun fact: at night, lights are randomly turned on and off in the apartments ... (and someone is having sex loudly ...)

For a game with the issues that it had, and a certain replay value that it lacks. These adventures shall live rent free in my mind forever. An experience that was irritating at times, but breathtaking at just the right moments when it needed to be. [marked NSFW due to slight nudity in 2 images]

    He didn't say the line

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 07:41 AM PDT

Bums me out that Johnny never ever says the line "wake the fuck up Samurai, we have a city to burn" in the entire game. Unless I missed something the only time you awake in the dumps is after the intro section. Did I miss it in game?

Just curious, will you buy any new games from CDPR in the future?

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 11:57 AM PDT

Everyone have their own experience and feelings for this game, but just out of curiosity, as for today will you buy any new games from cdpr in the future or will you wait for gameplay once is out or it's a straight nope?

Personally i'm not really familiar with cdpr, but i just loved the setting for this one. I was a little hesitant at the beginning but i always heard great things for The witcher 3, so based on that i gave them my trust but as for today i'd rather spoil me half of the game watching gameplays then opening my wallet.

Edit 1: sorry if i don't respond to all of you, comments are really flying rn. Also we got some pretty mixed reactions so far

Edit 2: to all the people downvoting the post, why tho?? I'm just having a respectful discussion, are you all that sensitive to other people's opinion lamaooo

Dear CDPR: you have my permission to replace random with guaranteed now.

I've been spinning the slot machine that is the clothing shop in Wellsprings for two hours now, attempting to get all five legendary clothing specs to show up. I've had to quit because it's bed time. Thanks, CDPR, for making this masterpiece.

Wether you love or hate the game. The art created for this trainwreck is absolutely stunning.

I need to get this off my chest.

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 10:52 AM PDT

I seriously still can't believe the state of this game when it came out and even now. I'm aware I have it on the worst system I can (Xbox One) but it's been in development for so goddam long! I've heard excuses like "it's never going to run well on Xbox it's a next-gen, revolutionary game!" If red dead 2 can run great looking and playing like that on my Xbox there's no reason cyberpunk shouldn't.

Also, it doesn't feel next-gen in the slightest, like seriously, what makes it next-gen other than being released to the next-gen consoles?? Even if this shit worked as best as it could in this state there's nothing about the content that feels next-gen. It's the same shit that's been reused in every open-world RPG. Go do some fetch quests or kill this person or maybe just maybe talk to this person that you may or may not kill depending on what line of dialogue you pick, not that it matters because the choices you make will never change the world, it'll just change one or two lines of dialogue that all lead the same place.

This game has been advertised for so long. For so long I was waiting for a game that breaks the cycle and does something new. You'll never rid the games of fetch quests or the same cookie-cutter missions but I just wanted them to change the world. If I kill every worker in a factory I want to see a new business take its place or board up the windows. If I crash into a fence just leave it broken at least for a few in-game days and not till it's literally out of my POV, if I get curious and shoot a quest NPC in the head let them die, let the whole quest line be ruined or adapted while letting other reload a save, if I do more requests with one person who hates another and they find out maybe have them make you choose or prove your loyalty. Just any world building feature.

I just want the game to feel like my choices truly matter. Like the game could end totally different and not just one predetermined cutscene that will have different people and dialogue based on my choices. I want endings that are so different and diverse that I can't not replay the game and in my second run, the game starts feeling different right away because of my choices.

That's next gen and that's what I was expecting to a degree. The way they hyped it. The way they advertised it so confidently over so many years to be "Next Gen!" I had absolutely no idea in my head that it'd be unfinished and so broken let alone just another RPG. I know my expectations were high but it feels like they went out of their way to show what false advertising and too early of a release looks like at once.

The worst part for me though was despite the bugs and the clearly missing and intended content, was that I seen the potential. I heard amazing voice acting and captivating stories. Fun little side quests and good game mechanics.

I had some fun between all the crashes, buggy quests and more rendering errors than Garys Mod, modded Skyrim and most 2DS games combined.

The whole thing has me mad everytime I look up and see the case on my shelf and I feel bad because it was gifted to me and she can see I'm not happy with it despite how excited I've been for the game for YEARS.

Now best case scenario is that they update it slowly with content that should have been there since launch and it'll never truly be what the developers or I envisioned because why can't go back on content or arrange anything differently.

Its like a clay sculpture that dried in some spots and the artist is still trying to make what they envisioned despite no longer having the foundation. Sure they can work around it and make something cool but it'll never be what we all wanted from the start.

I'm disappointed in the game. I'm sad over what could have been and my misplaced hope and excitement. I'm mad that money pushing people made this happen.

Thanks for reading my dumb rant. Disclaimer! I don't know enough to be 100℅ sure in everything I've said outside my emotions because I'm just a flawed human like everyone else.

(Edit) To whoever gave me the award: Thank you for the first award I've ever gotten!

    Favorite offensive builds

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 09:12 PM PDT

Need help designing a build for my next playthrough. My first build was based around handguns but wasn't as fun as I'd hoped, kind of underwhelming. Instead I sunk a few skill points in blades and now they're wildly OP. From some testing it seems like blunt weapons can also get OP quickly. What are your favorite builds? I've tried every weapon in the game but I'm not finding the most satisfying yet. Thus far my favorite would be either blades or assault/ annihilation. My least favorite would be netrunning (waiting for them to die takes the fun out of it IMO).

    Keanu buing Cyberpunk merch

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 04:16 AM PDT

Keanu's voice acting does not feel authentic.

    Posted: 15 Mar 2021 11:27 AM PDT

Keanu is a great guy irl. And in my opinion, his acting can seem a little sluggish or lack of emotion, but you see the gears turning in his head in every scene. You can observe he's able to act out the thought process his characters are going through. And, I think he's a great actor for characters who think heavily or are more action than words.

But with that said, every time I hear Johnny Silverhand talk, all I can picture is Keanu reading off of a script. Holding the rolled pages in his hand, maybe motioning with the other, microphone in front of his face, and his eyes glued to those words as he reads them aloud for the first time. I don't feel like I'm interacting with the hot tempered, rockerboy, anarchist.

Games like this have a ton of dialog, no doubt about it. I don't expect him to memorize every line and deliver it like a Broadway actor after 6 months of performing the same scene. But, there are a lot of great voice actors who can read off a script and sell it like they were talking to you face to face. That definitely takes a lot of skill and practice to master.

Another thing someone else brought up, is that as V, you would be less likely to trust and follow Silverhand if it were just about any actor besides Keanu. The first thing Johnny does is lash out and assaults you, perhaps trying to kill you. Then afterwards, he's like "I changed my mind, we're cool now." and just about everyone is like "Sure thing Keanu!"

TL:DR - Oh noes! Keanu ruins mah immersion!
