    Hey Choombas,

As per the title, it is currently 'Free Talk Friday' and this means that there will be relaxed moderation of rules 1 and 6.

This means that you can post your random Cyberpunk 2077 discussions, even if they may not be OC/making a new point.

    A couple of examples are:

    • Basic polls, like, 'What Console are You Playing on?'
    • Hype posts, like, 'This is Why I'm so Excited for Cyberpunk 2077
    • Battlestation posts, sharing your PC or console setup with a Cyberpunk 2077 theme

We will also be relaxing our moderation of rule 6, which means that you can post your Cyberpunk 2077 themed memes! Please note that there still must be some level of effort in their creation (i.e., reposting an unrelated video but changing the title is low effort), and they will still be subject to removal due to user reports.

I found this really interesting. The duality of the corporate entity. Destroy and Build. I feel this game is taking us back to the games of the 80’s and 90’s. Games like MGS and Deus Ex where the lore will be talked about for decades.

Really cool add from the world of cyberpunk book!

    Really Nice Addition

    Really Nice Addition

I really appreciate the direction CDPR seems to be going with adding RPG elements to average enemies and combat in General, it's a really nice change of mowing down carbon copy mooks with zero repercussions. In the 48 minute demo after killing the Maestrom in the control room, the Brother of the Ganger who retrieved the flathead argues with other members about going in to try and save him. Just this small interaction massively improves the game, in what seemed as killing a bunch of psychopaths you killed someones brother. As well as more combat oriented aspects, such as from a screenshot of the deep dive of V fighting a group of animals, one of the corpses has blood pooling underneath him. Just these small things are amazing boons to combat itself and atmosphere, along with such things as multiple different reload animations and destructible terrain. I don't think many people appreciate these really impactful additions, especially the reletively 'minor' things such as the animations of NPC's, them not just standing there but shifting slightly, always doing something making them seem alive. Or how all of the major NPC's (as well as several minor) having unique walking animations. The level of work and detail these guys put into the game is just great.

BOOK SPOILER/Question: What is with the black dot sticker covering up the face of one of the Mox members on page 169?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 07:55 PM PDT

Amount of spoiler posts without a flair after book release just proves that this place is going to be problematic after the game release.

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 12:43 AM PDT

Even now, the prevention/punishment system is not enough to block people from putting just pics of the lore book pages. Not only these posts are extremely low effort (how can taking pic of a book page can be an high effort attempt), they just feed my eyes with spoiling information that I hate.

After game release, some d-head probably will share in game content with spoilers without even a tag and mods will pass or miss them just like now. After that point in time, it is probably best for people (who does not want spoilers) to just leave this place.

Has there been any official word on an in-game codex?

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 05:32 PM PDT

I know these things are kinda bog-standard when it comes to RPGs, given that it's pretty cheap to implement, but I was wondering if they've said anything about it. I love a really in-depth codex like Dragon Age for example, where you have novel-length amounts of text to further flesh out the world. And with Cyberpunk being the behemoth that it is in nearly every respect, I really hope they put in a lot of effort into that part of the game too.

I seriously doubt the game will be delayed a third time. There is a pattern emerging

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 11:10 PM PDT

I know there are fears of a third delay but I have done my research on the matter so fret not. There is a pattern that is emerging

If anyone recalls the Witcher 3 it was revealed at E3 2013 and due to release a full year later in Q3 2014. Then it got delayed about 6-8 months to February 2015. It was delayed again 3 months to May 2015. Cyberpunk 2077 is very similar with a few differences. Instead of a date being given a release the same year as the reveal, it was revealed at E3 2018 and given a release date at E3 2019. It was due for April 2020, 10 months rather than a full year for the initial release date for Witcher 3. It was delayed 6 months similar to the Witcher 3 for September 2020 then delayed 2 months to November. rather than 3. That makes it roughly at max, 2 years for the Witcher 3 and 18 (if November 19 is the date) for Cyberpunk. That is 6 months or half a years difference. The pattern here is the same for both games too with each new release date getting smaller and smaller. Couple this with the fact that the Witcher 3 took 3-4 years and Cyberpunk 2077, 5-6 years development means that less work needs to be done hence 2 months instead of 3. Another pattern has appeared from the last two delays. Both delays happened 3 months or 90 days before the April and September dates so if there is a third delay, I think we should know by 21st of August.

However since the pattern between the Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 is so similar, I seriously doubt it will be delayed a third time. CDPR do not take more or less time than they need. Set the release date too soon and you run the risk of another delay. Set it too far and if you finish it early you stand around wasting time. You release it exactly when its ready. I could bet that if it doesn't release by November the third delay could be even shorter, anywhere from a week to a month

I strongly believe CDPR can meet November 19 though

    In-game Jail Time System

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 12:23 PM PDT

In the Elder Scrolls games, if you break the law and it's "reported", next time you come across law enforcement they'll try to arrest you, you can then pay a fine, fight/run, or go to jail. If you go to jail you can either wait out the sentence, or try to escape.

Would you like a similar system to be in the game?

I think it would be interesting, especially if there was differences between the City Jail and the private Corpo Jails/prisons each Corp is sure to have hidden all over. And maybe the better favor you have with any given Corp the more lesser crimes they'll let slide, or like with the Thieves Guild you'd be able to pay a reduced fine to the Corp to be let go.

Amazon Sent The Wrong Edition of The World of Cyberpunk 2077

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 09:19 AM PDT

    What they sent.

I ordered the Deluxe edition and they sent the standard edition with the Deluxe label on it. This was ordered directly from Amazon. I've had it pre ordered since December. Luckily their exchange process is very straight forward and they are sending me the right one (hopefully) and I'll get that August 4th. Anyone else have this issue?

To anybody who saying its going to be delayed again because of the pandemic

    Posted: 30 Jul 2020 11:51 PM PDT

they already delayed the game and they already worked in home office so they know exactly whats their speed and with this in mind delayed it to november. If there will be a delay it wont be because of the home office.

but i highly dubt it will be delayed again.
