| Would you agree that Cyberpunk 2077 is the most anticipated game, ever? Posted: 07 Mar 2020 11:57 AM PST Despite The Last of Us 2, Half-life Alyx, Doom Eternal all coming out this year I seriously don't feel nearly as hyped about any of them as I do for CP2077. Don't get me wrong, I've been waiting for both a new half-life game and TLOS2 for YEARS now and these are both sequels to a series I've played and am already in love with. This means that I'm already highly acquainted with the storylines for those series and am really interested in what's going to happen next. But for CP2077 I wouldn't even say I was a fan of the genre before knowing about the game (don't get me wrong, now I love it but before CP2077 I wasn't even familiar with the genre). CP2077 is the first in its (potential?) Series, yet I'm more hyped about it than I am about TLOS2 or HL Alyx. This said, I'm very hyped for CP2077, as I have been for years. I'd even say that this is the most excited I've been about any game release ever! I'd love to know if others feel the same, and whether you think this merely has to do with CDPR's phenomenal reputation. [link] [comments] | ||

Is there some sort of functional purpose to them, are they somehow tied to the cyberpunk lore, or are they more just part of the design/aesthetic?
