Potentially significant characters in the E3 2018 reveal trailer

    Posted: 13 Feb 2020 01:19 AM PST

I was rewatching the E3 2018 premiere trailer again last night and realized a lot of the characters we now know to be major characters in the game briefly appeared in the trailer as it was showing us Night City. This includes male and female V, Jackie, Dex, T-Bug, Lizzy Wizzy, the scavs, and Maelstrom. This made me think that potentially the other people we see in the trailer are also maybe major characters in the game and made me want to speculate about who they might be, because what else am I going to do for the time being lol.

So anyway, here's some screenshots with who I think these characters could potentially be.

    Screenshot 1

Both the man and the woman here definitely have the look of big Corpo highrollers. They seem to be conducting an interview on a man named "Sebastian Tsomething". I can't quite make out his last name. Given the dark grey outfits they're both wearing I'm assuming these are Militech executives. The bolo tie on the male executive gives him a Wild West/Southern flavor. I think both him and the woman could be major Militech characters in the game.

    Screenshot 2

This to me is the most interesting character in the trailer we don't yet know about because I have a strong suspicion of who she actually is: Michiko Arasaka, the youngest daughter of Kei Arasaka and Saburo Arasaka's granddaughter, who after the events of the Fourth Corporate War becomes head of the so-called "Princess Faction" of the company that is allowed to operate in the United States.

    Screenshot 3

I don't have any strong theories about who this guy is but he looks too cool to simply be some rando in my opinion. Maybe a Solo? In any event I hope he's a romance option for... personal reasons.

    Screenshot 4

This is one of the few characters (if not the only character) in the trailer actually identified by name: Narayan Isamu. He appears to be a driver the Combat Cab company, which seems relatively self-explanatory. I could see him being a fun recurring character that V runs into again and again and has shenanigans with.

    Screenshot 5

Once again, she seems too distinct to simply be a random character. Interestingly, in the trailer she can be seen receiving a message from someone named "Dai" with the subject "As you wish", which would seem to imply she has some sort of position of authority, or maybe she just has this Dai wrapped around her finger.

    Screenshot 6

All of these guys seem to be big power brokers of some sort. I'd guess they're either big Corpo executives or organized crime figures. Might be villains in the story.

    Screenshot 7

This screenshot also has Dex and his bodyguard in it and maaaaybe Fem!V if you squint and look at the person in the background. I can't be sure though. The presence of the spider-bot suggests this takes places after the mission from the gameplay reveal demo and Dex is selling the bot at what could be the nightclub Afterlife. The three characters on the right appear to be potential buyers and if I had to guess they're gang leaders of some sort, or are all members of the same gang. I'm genuinely unsure of what's up with the person in the tank on the right but... that's a thing I guess.

    Screenshot 8

This has quirky crazy side quest written all over it. I could easily see this dude and his... girlfriend/wife? Daughter? Female relative? I'm not entirely sure but they both look like interesting, fun NPCs with a lot of character who could become involved in V's story in a fun way.

    Screenshot 9

I don't know who this man is but he is not Jackie. I had to do a double take as well but it's definitely not him and a different characters. He looks like he could be a Solo. Once again, I'm hoping he's a romance option.

    Screenshot 10

My dude here is giving off strong Corpo assassin vibes considering how pleased he seems by the guy exploding next to him. He might be a Netrunner considering the guy seems to suffering the same fate as the Arasaka executive we can see apparently getting killed by T-Bug in the trailer as well.

    Screenshot 11

I've already seen speculation that this person could be the main antagonist of the game. He certainly seems menacing and looks to have his hands in a lot of the turmoil erupting in Night City, so I'll with it for now too.

    Screenshot 12

Shotgun Grannie better be in the game and have a badass quest associated with her. That is all.

    Screenshot 13

This guy is definitely a scav leader. He could be the same one who gets terminado-d in the gameplay demo but I haven't gone back and checked.

Is cyberpunk 2077 going to be in E3 2020?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2020 03:39 PM PST

e3 2020 starts at June 9-11 and i wondered if cyberpunk will be there, it was in all e3 in 2018-2019. i'm not expecting any game-play or anything since i seen enough, at least news or more details given by Cd project red during e3 2020. I feel like e3 2020 might not be as great

    Props/Gear coming to store?

    Posted: 12 Feb 2020 05:07 PM PST

I heard a while ago that people making and selling guns/items from the game on etsy and other stores we're told to stop due to potential clashes with planned merch. There hasn't been any update and some of the stuff is back up being sold (e.g. Militech M-10AF Lexington pistol). Was wondering if anyone has any news or info about this or if there are concrete plans for merch. Have seen Johnny's arm is a collectors item in Europe so would love to see a gun or two as airsoft guns or replicas.
