How do you think Electrical, Thermal, and Chemical effects work? Posted: 29 Sep 2019 03:20 AM PDT If you notice the gameplay demos, you and your enemies have resistance to certain attacks which are physical, electrical, thermal, and chemical. Physical is pretty self-explanatory, but what about the other three? What do you think they do and what weapons have these elements? CDPR wants each of the game mechanics to mean something, so maybe these status effects can mean more than just having a different way to attack with the same damage results. My guess is: -Physical: Takes the most damage out of your life bar. -Electical: Stuff like stun guns and EMP grenades hurts you a little bit, but the shock slows you down or screws up your UI causing static to mess up your sight. -Thermal: Stuff like flamethrowers and heat-related weapons depletes your health overtime as well a damaging your weapons, low-thermal resistant gear, and cyberware (I heard weapons need to be repaired). -Chemical: I guess things like poison gas canisters that depletes your health overtime (lasting longer than thermal) and also depletes the usage of reflex boosters faster until the effects wear off.
