Quick Question: Have you seen any long hairstyles?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 06:40 AM PDT

    Any new information?

TLDR: Just wondering if there's been confirmation of longer hair than neck/shoulder length.

I did a post a while back asking about longer hairstyles to pick from, explaining how it is rarely included in games, referring to the Dragon Age and Mass Effect games. It seems to be the Mars landing of video games. Whole universes with short hair. The longest I've seen in Cyberpunk 2077 is neck length.

V in the elevator mission has a side shaved shoulder length hairstyle

A longer version would look something like this

    https://i.imgur.com/Om4IqW5.jpg

Still cool, but more feminine, if that's the look you want for your V.

I think it would add a lot of variety if hair with physics, not just "frozen state" type hairstyles, and short hairstyles were in the game. It'd be cool if it would react to weather, wind and rain as well.

I want longer hair to animate sort of like this (Tomb Raider, 2016): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jh8bmKJCAPI

You know like the hair reacts to clothes, shoulders and momentum as you move, not clip through armor and whatnot. It has to sometimes be able to be tucked under your headgear and certain armor depending how it is, too.

From a first person view perspective, of course I don't want it to animate like it's blocking your eyes if it's windy or you're fighting. It doesn't have to show at all from that view. I'm fine with that. I just want the hair to be there on my character and to see long hairstyles on other characters. It would look cool on a bike, in cutscenes, photomode and multiplayer for sure.

I know its not the most important thing for a video game. But for the look of characters I think hair factors into it a lot.

If its a clear "No" answer, no discussion needed of course, I'll remove this post right away.

Anyone else thinking about how they're gonna play their first run of 2077?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 10:10 AM PDT

Basically, the way im playing it is something that I've been calling an 'Aug-Junkie'. Pretty much an agility/strength kinda melee-focused playstyle focusing on getting as many augmentations as possible (Totally isnt an excuse just to make an entire playthrough focused on Mantis-Blades). I'm very new to the whole Cyberpunk universe and only know about it because of Cyberpunk 2077, so if something like this already exists in-universe, tell me about it :). And thinking of this got me wondering how other people plan on playing. Are you going to go with some of the ones they've discussed in trailers or other Cyberpunk games like (Netrunner, Solo, etc) or are you just gonna go for a mix?

So is Johnny Silverhand now a forced choice ?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 11:41 PM PDT

In the gameplay demo you could choose from 3 childhood heros, it seems now it's just Keanu.

    Character Creation Hair Dye Options

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 07:46 PM PDT

Hi there all! So I have been excited for Cyberpunk2077 for a while now but one question/hope has been in my mind since CDPR started talking about the deep and highly detailed character creation, I have been hoping to have a very wide array of hair dye styles for each hairstyle or a way to design our own dye styles somehow mostly because I have this mental image of the tomboyish hacktivist/urban fighter type character I wish to make and she has naturally black hair with highlights along the bangs and the bottom of the sides of the hair that glow gradient rainbow-colored cuz I think rainbow hair looks awesome and I think it would look cooler with the overall style of the game. so what hair dye options are you hoping for, and what hair dye styles do you hope to give to your character, and what hair dye options do you think we will end up getting? Thanks for reading!

What do you think the storyline will be?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2019 01:54 AM PDT

From what we have seen/heard from trailers and interviews some kind of interpretation can be made what the games story will be.

Note: I have no experience at all with the cyberpunk universe and this is just my own interpretation from the material we have been given, trailers interviews etc.

I think the game will begin with V and Jackie being(possibly depending on backstory) basically mercs doing some low tier jobs when they are offered a job by Dexter Deshawn to steal a chip. The heist to steal the chip goes belly up and Jackie dies(Or he dies later), V goes to turn in the chip(while connected to it) for the reward but Dexter is not happy about the attention the failed heist has brought him and want to tie up any loose ends by killing V. He "succeeds"(Also kills Jackie) and Vs body end up on a dump where heshe wakes up and find out that the chip contained Johnny Silverhands consciousness.

Here it becomes more unclear, Johnny possibly knows something about about the deep net from spending time on the "other side" as an AI(And may have an ulterior motive to release something) and convinces V to seek out the Voodoo boys and to get on their good side with the motive to make them help you or give you(Johnny) access to something, your motive is revenge against Dexter. You do some jobs for them and end up meeting Netwatch.

Through your jobs with one(both?) groups you figure they are aware of some cataclysmic AI that is locked up in the deep net and both groups(Voodoo and Net) have diverging ideas on how it can be used to assert themselves as the dominant group. So you can choose who you will continue to assist, all while Johnny acts helpful to you. At at a certain point in the game you come face to face with the eldritch horror AI and no matter who you helped Johnny will step up showing his true colors and release it or merge with it. Resulting in a big cataclysmic event where some cyberware users get hijacked by the AI to go on a killing spree/induce cyber psychosis, the heavily modified group(spider bot bois) we saw in game get completely taken over by the AI.

Night city is in chaos as groups are using the blackout to gain power, MAX-TAC is working to clean up the mess of the sudden influx of cyber psychosis among the populace. You do whatever you want, assist some group(Including the AI/Johnny, Corpos, gangs etc) to stabilize the city.

How it ends i'm even more unsure of because it has to end in a state where multiplayer is possible. Maybe we will never get to see the city fully stabilize and it will end in a messy state where we can have functional pvp against players who chose to support another gang/group from us and assist players that are on our side, kind of like ubisoft's "the division"? And then somehow the moon will be an area we can visit, maybe it will be an area very controlled by the AI?

Fully possible that I'm 110% wrong and this is as I said just speculation made from tying together the groups we have seen into a made up story that "could" work in the cyberpunk universe. And the only reason I marked it as spoiler is because I could be right.

TLDR; The big point of the games story will be the AI locked up in the deep net and the power struggle between groups in night city. Also don't think we will be some grand savior of the city. The release of the AI will just be enabled by us and we will work with other groups to give us the outcome we want, or one we didn't want but ended up getting because of choices we made.

Thoughts? Anything that is just straight up wrong from what we know?
