    The hype is real

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 12:38 AM PDT

Inside gamescom with a pre entry ticket, already 3 to 4 hours wait time. Wish me luck.

    Edit: I guess I'm in in 30min

Edit2: sorry it took so long! After the presentation I went on to see more stuff the gamescom has to offer.

So basically we saw a mission out of the perspective of two playstyles, first from a netrunner who is specialized in hacking (cameras, turrets to shoot enemies, enemies to commit suicide), then a "brawler" (I call it like that, basically pure strength and violence)

Both approached the mission differently, which benefits the replayability immensely. They showed off some netwire combat which was pretty sick and a very very small teaser on a boss fight, SICK!

V did ride his motorcycle to the mission, music was damn nice. Graphic good and smooth as expected.

Keep the hype, but don't be overhyped.

It will be worth it when it's ready.

    “I’ve seen CP2077 and some things disappointed” - GryOnLine.pl

    Posted: 21 Aug 2019 06:43 AM PDT

    the article

Interesting article. In short: - It was the same demo as E3

    • there are plenty of elements that are simply breathtaking, the author mentions world building, dialogue, immersive sim elements, hacking, etc.

    • combat is pretty standard. Outside of SOME moments, it's "just" a decent shooter with nothing spectacular going on. The author mentions it's nowhere near the brutality and flair of DOOM or mobility and pace of Titanfall

-driving is extremely arcade and roads are empty

-boss battle was unimpressive with a big "SHOOT ME HERE" spot displayed on the boss' back

-all in all it's said that while some elements will certainty excel, others will remain pretty standard and what you'd expect from an average AAA game.
The author mentions it as a good thing as when put next to other elements of the game the "industry standard" becomes bare minimum of effort.

EDIT. Some background: GryOnLine is one of the biggest gaming sites in Poland. They seem to like to go "against the grain" and despite being generally reliable, they often seem to exaggerate some things to direct people's attention to certain issues. I think the purpose of the article is to slow the hype train down. At the end of the day, too much hype can hurt any game despite its quality.
