    As many of you know, this is one of the darkest and most depressing games on the market today. You play through V's death spiral into madness but as someone who deals with depression a lot it's really helped me bring life into perspective.

    For one my problems are nothing compared to many in Night City and given the reigns of V, I was shown the depths of my mercy, hypocrisy, and arbitration when faced with difficult decisions. I better know who I am and what I will do in the face of hardship now for it. I know the extent of my morals, my mercy, and what I can stomach or not.

    For two, I've been in the corpo world my entire life and to me this world seems like a natural evolution of the absolute shitshow that currently exists. It inspires me to fight for a better future more than anything else I've seen or read in a long time. One quote from V I will never forget is 'You can't trust numbers people because the only difference between you being friend or foe is a decimal point.' because of how true it rings to everything in life and all of my relationships.

    Lastly, it showed how much of a bitch move suicide is. How it affects the people we know. You know those scenes at the end roll where the characters will tell you what they think of you? Hearing what they had to say after I committed suicide, after spending so much time with them, and then thinking of what the people I know would say if I did such a thing make me break down and cry. I'm a man and it made me cry god dammit. Made me want to live. And shit it hasn't been easy in the years since I've played it but now I'm on a better path and every time I stare into the darkness I think of this game, and it lights fire within me to keep going to create a better world and make sure those I love are treated well.

    Barely 30% completed and more than 40 hours in, CD Project have outdone themselves with the level of immersion and exploration.

    I originally missed out on this game due to the negative press, fast forward almost two years and decided to buy it and now I cant stop playing it.

    Night city is vibrant, the characters are interesting, the million things to do and find in this game is a testament to their design and vision, im having a blast playing it on my PS5, definitely one the best games I've played in a while, 10/10.
