    Finished the game...

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 11:32 PM PST

...and did all the endings. Amazing game and a true masterpiece but there is a very disturbing detail i've noticed in every ending except for The Devil and The Suicide ending and it is been eating me alive. So when Alt uses Mikoshi on V, V becomes a construct, this what we all know about and it is also been pointed out in that part of the game. I've been thinking over this and isn't the V we play during the Mikoshi sequence and after not the real one but just a construct like Johnny? Isn't it safe to assume that V died after Alt used Mikoshi on him/her and the one we play inside Mikoshi is just a construct/copy who thinks he/she is V just like Johnny does? I've also seen people who thinks Alt is wrong about V having just left six months to live but in Johnny-Rogue ending, when Johnny enters cyberspace to talk to Alt, she is able to read him and his thoughts so easily and even points out that she "knows" him because Johnny is a sum of data, a construct and Alt is able to easily understand his programming. So during the Mikoshi sequence Alt is right about V having left 6 months to live because V is basically a construct now just like Johnny. There is even a reference to that which Johnny saying something like "Do you like being a bunch of zeroes and ones?" It all makes the Temperance ending more fitting because it is not about "V must die because he is an actual person and since Johnny is a construct he should join Alt." it is about choosing the best outcome for two constructs who they think to be that person. As for The Devil ending, ironically, this seems to be the only ending (apart from the Suicide one) where V is himself and you can actually make a choice to sign the contract to be a construct(just like how you end up on the other endings) till they fix your body or just be on your way as Takemura points ous that the space station which V is being treated in is not a prison or anything. All this makes the credits song "Never Fade Away" even more meaningful and makes it more about V and Johnny because you and Johnny truly have lost everything and as the game concludes, you both have paid the price for it. I would really love to hear your opinions' on these thoughts. Thank you and a have nice day.

Summary: The V we play during and after Mikoshi is not the same V we play since the beginning of the game. The real V is dead after Mikoshi is used on him/her and the one we play as after that is basically a construct just like Johnny who thinks he/she is that person.

About the lore/world of this game...

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 11:31 PM PST

This is around a 2 minute read.

I had about 30hrs in this game when I realized I had never checked out the Bonus content folder, so I decided to do just that. I open the folder and saw this "The World of Cyberpunk 2077 (2020)" PDF file that was in it. I started reading it and gotta say, it's beautiful. The artwork is in simple words amazing and the world building reads deep. If I was presented this document as a magazine I would have got it hardcovered and each page laminated. And that's where I started to wonder... all this effort, worldbuilding and depth for a game that did a piss poor job of integrating any of it.

My honest opinion of the world (as presented in the document) in contrast to the game : it reads like a very high effort fan fic. Like I can see someone getting obsessed with the two things the game did right ( gun play and graphics ) and concocting this Art/Worldbuilding document from the visual splendors this game presents, and some other generic and well played out themes in scifi over the last 6 decades.

Why I say the documents reads like a fac fic? Because the game does such a poor job of implementing/exploring it's own world. Reading that document gives an impression like it and the game were two rails of the same track, but each rail is a of a different gauge. The doc and the game are comparable yet very separate. The document sets a strong precedent of depth and intractability, and then the game while appears to be in the same setting, fails to show any serious inspiration from it.

My honest opinion of the game in contrast to it's world : it's a disappointment. If I was offered this document as a marketing magazine, I would have got it hardcovered and it's pages laminated. I would have pre - ordered the game and had got my hopes high. Then at the release, I would have been ineffably disappointed. This game feels incomplete.

Frankly, the game feels like a fac fic it's own world.

I really really hope that these free DLCs drops somewhere have better content for the base game.

Found a way to maximize number of modslots on fixed-location loot.

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 11:48 PM PST

Wrote a post in detail then accidently pressed back on my phone and lost it (no drafts, really reddit?). So I'll write it again but much more briefly. Only tested on legendary fixed item clothing.

    1) get in vicinity of fixed location item, like a block away, SAVE game.

    2) walk up to about 5 meters from it, while looking down at the floor as to not look at the item's container yet. Use mini map to point arrow in the item's direction so that if you were to look up you would see it, but don't look up yet. SAVE game in diff save slot.

    3) go look at it, if it don't have max slots (Google the item name to know the range) reload the save where your looking down.

    4) as your loading in spam the scanner button (rb on xbox) this helps lock it in as the max slots, then as soon as you can after loading in run up to it. It should be good to go! Worked for me on 3 legendary item's in a row (when at first I was only 1-2 slots, and I refused to accept that, kept trying till I figured out this trick)

    5) if not working maybe you accidentally triggered it by looking at it, so load back to before step 2.legendary blazer example

Does anyone else wish the cutscenes were in third person?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 09:41 AM PST

Maybe it's just me but it feels like something is lost replayability-wise with the first person cutscenes. I played the game on launch and struggled through all the bugs and generally I really enjoyed the game. But every time I've gone back to it it feels the same, even with different choices and backstories.

IMO a big part of this is cause I never get to see my character except for the very end of the game, so it just feels like I'm playing the same character as my first playthrough. IDK maybe it's just me.

Future is very bright, according to Pawel Sasko

Future is very bright, according to Pawel Sasko

A week ago Pawel Sasko's Sunday streams he brings this picture into his meme review which he also draw extra veins to show how does he really feel.

    https://preview.redd.it/y04wyb9f83f81.png?width=777&format=png&auto=webp&s=c5da03c88dfdbecfa65d7b5fab5df5485586b292

And this week he said this during the life steam.

    https://reddit.com/link/shcbqb/video/sh3waf5483f81/player

So what does he mean "future is very bright" and "I know some things you guy's don't"? is he talking about Polish game developers as whole (as this was the original compliment that he responded to, which talked about a lot of polish game studios producing great content) or/and he is talking about things he's able to see happening behind the scenes... (just guessing here) multiplayer that he plays with other people, having these active chase events, arcades that you get to play, a lot of customization added etc... something that probably works 99% of the time for PC and he's really impressed whenever that they'll be able to ship that for release... potentially the paid DLC which is rumored (according to IGN) to be released somewhere "between March and May".

Also this part where he was asked how he's just doing and he feels really hyped himself about Q1 but can't say why (I think we all know why).

    https://reddit.com/link/shcbqb/video/glhlkuhid3f81/player

So in theory... we could be getting 1.5 in February, and expansion in March/April window. (again all this is just speculation and Pawel really can't say anything 😢)

    Kang Tao needs some milk

    Posted: 31 Jan 2022 08:28 PM PST

I'm noticing that the citizens of Night City really don't take Kang Tao seriously. The entire game, not only do they have substandard soldiers compared to Arasaka, but also every mercenary organization doesn't seem too bothered by the idea of fighting them as opposed to say Militech. Now I did catch onto the fact that Kang Tao is a bit politically preoccupied in 2077. But Hellman was a very high dollar item…being escorted by only a handful of guys easily overpowered by a merc and an injured nomad with daddy issues.

Kang Tao needs to do something in future content because at this point are they even a corp?
