    Gear upgrading needs a serious overhaul. Right now there is no reason to upgrade your gear

    If you weren't aware before in addition to being able to craft new items you can upgrade your current ones. Each time you do it the component cost increases. Sounds cool right? If you have a favourite weapon or piece of clothing you can upgrade it. Sadly it's not like that. Upgrading a piece of gear offers only a small boost to its stats and because the price grows every time it's unsustainable to upgrade gear instead of getting new gear. This sucks for people who found a cool piece of gear at a low level and can't use it after leveling up a few times.

    Here's a personal story. I was playing my first ever run of the game and picked up Silverhand's gun. I was still only at around level 20-30 so the damage wasn't very good. And because it was already legendary I couldn't just craft it up. The only way to make it better was to upgrade and to do that you need a lot of expensive components. And what do you get for all your money spent on legendary upgrade components? +10 damage. So tip for any new players. Don't pick up cool gear at a low level or else you'll only be able to use it for around 15 minutes before it's useless.

    The upgrade system need a a serious overhaul that makes upgrading an actual option to consider alongside buying or picking up new weapons. I've found a lot of cool gear that I had to give up using and it sucks. When you upgrade an epic gun to the next tier the new damage is based on your current level. Maybe something like that?
