Free DLCs missions are already in the game, and you can play it RIGHT NOW [99% SURE ABOUT IT]

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 08:04 PM PDT

About the list of the names of the free DLCs posted yesterday, I noticed something that I am 99% sure about it, and you'll probably agree with:

There are four DLCs in the list called by the name of the district (or subdistrict) of Night City:
    dlc3_kab01 = Kabuki, dlc9_arr06 and dlc14_arr12 = Arroyo and dlc16_jpn06 = Japantown.

Right after the game modding community started, a youtuber realized that 4 quests were inactive from the game, but with the help of mods, you could force the game to let you play it, and guess what... The four missions are EXACTLY on those locations I mentioned above.

The dlc3_kab01 mission is called "Concrete Cage Trap", and you can find the gameplay below:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUzjc0ChHBU

The dlc9_arr06 mission is called "Nasty Hangover", and you can find the gameplay below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiHHs8W_Zl0

The dlc14_arr12 mission is called "Desperate Measures", and you can find the gameplay below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyOT_uTvVzU

The dlc16_jpn06 mission is called "Hothead", and you can find the gameplay below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHU4j4bYYoQ

After watching those videos you can clearly see that the lighting of the interiors was unfinished, and glitched, so probably that's why they cut those missions before release.

I'd say that all the mission names I mentioned before are subject to change, but I don't see a viable reason for that to happen.

With the use of mods, you can force the game RIGHT NOW, and play these quests.

This is just a SPECULATION, and I am not 100% sure about it, so don't judge me if that ends not being the case.

[All credits to SVENTRA for recording and posting those videos]

Netrunners are suppose to pose a far greater threat than they do right now but due to a bug, you'll probably only get hacked by an Overheat once. There's mod that fixes that bug and adds other hacks ranging from Reboot Optics to Imminent System Failure.

    I don't like Johnny Silverhand.

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 08:04 AM PDT

I don't know if this post is a rant or a genuine critique but I just felt like I wanted to give my opinion. Of course, differing opinions are valid and welcome. Seriously just wanted to shit on Johnny Silverhand for a bit.

To start things off, I like Keanu Reeves. Love his acting in a lot of films but that doesn't mean that I have to like his character in this game. (I also do think his acting is kinda flat in some sections when it comes to Johnny but that's just my personal opinion).

But Johnny is introduced as an insufferable douchebag that is literally trying to kill you from the get-go and yet the game expects you to fall in love with him because he says 'funny' shit?

Throughout the entirety of Act 2, he sucks. He's a shitty person that says shitty things to both V and the people around them. And then he gets a magical character arc in Act 3 where boohoo he wants to 'redeem his mistakes'. Why? There's nothing that triggers this. There's nothing that should make him like V. There's nothing that should make him want to change his actions? He's a douchebag from the moment you meet him and then all of a sudden he's supposed to be so nice and loveable and omg he cares about V so much. It's dumb and it feels rushed imo.

Aside from his clear being an asshat for no reason, he's also blatantly misogynistic and the game doesn't even try to hide that. People (mainly girls that simp for him) just dismiss that because he's not a womanizer to female V. Know why?? The dialogue Johnny has isn't any different no matter what gender V you have! It's just the pronouns that change! When he was alive, he treated Rogue like shit and he admits that and suddenly wants to make amends in act 3 for no reason as there's no turning point that could even suggest why he wants to fix it. But ok. Fair enough that he wants to fix that, I guess. But he also treated Alt like shit (the game even acknowledges this) and he is never really shown to show any remorse. He never even admits that MAYBE Arasaka didn't kidnap her because they wanted to get to him, maybe it's because she was the best netrunner in Night City?? I don't recall him owning up to being wrong there. If he does, my mistake. But from what I know, he makes the whole Alt situation about himself and NEVER feels any remorse for that at all. Even more misogyny is blatant when it comes to Evelyn and ANYTHING he says regarding her. Seriously, go play through the quests Automatic Love through to Both Sides, Now. Never says anything that proves that he even views her as a person. It's disgusting, and he's clearly a misogynist.

Thing is, the misogynistic part is a thing that the game even ACKNOWLEDGES. But people don't care! I get it, it doesn't define his whole character. But holy fuck does it make him unlikable. The way that the game forces him on you is annoying in itself.

Feel free to disagree. I don't mind. Opinions are just that. Opinions. Lol. Just wanted to rant about a character I don't like.

After reading through a thread earlier I've just gotta say

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 07:37 PM PDT

Both Cherami Leigh and Gavin Drea were honestly phenomenal voice actors and were perfect for both male and female v as voice actors, reading through people saying that either one or both were terrible really disgusted me because it was clear to me that both of them gave the roles everything they had

So Cyberpunk just glitched and let me pick up the same three items repeatedly. An HJKE-11 Yukimura normal, an HJKE-11 Yukimura uncommon, and the Malorian arms 3516 Legendary/Iconic from Grayson during the conversation with Rogue and Johnny in the mission Chippin' in.

    Pleasantly surprised...playing on original ps4

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 03:23 PM PDT

I decided to go for it thinking if it's too buggy i'll sell it on. I'm really happy with it to be fair. Ok night city is a little under populated when you're just mooching round seeing what havoc you can cause (would appear to be a compromise to make it run better) but it looks great overall and there's been literally no bugs so far (about ten hours in), and the main storyline is brilliant.

Really enjoying it...definitely worth playing if you're into sci-fi and cyberpunk of course.

I wonder if it has more people and things happening on the pro or next gen consoles though?

How and from where do cybernetics actually get their power?

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 09:34 PM PDT

Serious lore question as it wasn't really explained fully in the game. Do the enhancements feed from bioenergy? I know there's a stamina system in the game to use mantis blades, gorilla arms, monowire and leg cybernetics. But what about all the other stuff. Where does the arm rocket launcher (forgot the name because I never used it and I haven't played in like 3 months) get all the munition? What actually powers all those cybernetics? Also what about individuals like Adam Smasher? Do they need to kind of recharge somewhere? Sorry if it's a dumb question I'm just interested in how all of this could work realisticly.
What are your thoughts? Let me know because I'm very interested in this kind of stuff.

Ok, we all know what sucks in Cyberpunk and where CDPR failed to deliver what they promised, let's talk in this thread what do we really like about the game for a change

    Posted: 19 Jul 2021 02:26 PM PDT

    > I like the diversity of combat- great step forward in comparison with the Witcher 3(where you had a sword and that's basically it, not to blame it, cause it was determine by the lore, but after the time it became kinda boring). You can play stealthy hitman-style, netrunning, melee, complete Rambo or take some parts of every style and combine it, all depends on you and your build and all of these options are enjoyable(I recommend buying a double jump as soon as possible, it changes a lot), guns are also diverse(I especially liked smart weapons and those with critical effects), mission locations are pretty-well designed(I didn't have the feeling that I'm visiting the same place over and over again for example), crafting is even interesting if you'll give it a chance and sacrifice 5 minutes to learn how to do it properly.

    > I also enjoyed the story, characters, gangs, main and side quests and the world itself(NC, districts, badlands, even corpo towers)- whatever you want to say about CDPR and lack of impactful choices(with few exceptions) the writing, dialogues and dystopic atmosphere are a masterpiece for me.

    > Music- very climatic, Samurai rules and if they were a real band, they could even have a shot.

Overall that's probably why I spent 80 hours clearing the map and right now I'm doing it again, despite all of its flaws.
