FAQ & Weekly Simple Questions Thread - Newcomers look here! (Week 37) Posted: 13 Sep 2020 09:05 PM PDT
Feel free to use this thread to ask any simple questions you may have surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 the game, it's lore, merchandise, or anything else related to it! Here is a link to our (old) faq; please check first to see if your question is answered there! Remember to sort by new and if you can, provide a source for your answers. As well, all top level comments must be questions. If anyone is spreading false information (or breaking any other rules), please report the comment. If you have any other concerns, feel free to send a message to the moderators FAQs: Will they release Cyberpunk 2077 early? What about a demo? Character customization early? As cool as that would be, it is very unlikely. When is Cyberpunk 2077 releasing? Cyberpunk 2077 releases on November 19, 2020 Will you be able to preload the game? This is currently unconfirmed; however, it is a fair assumption. What kind of PC should I build? Do I need to upgrade my PC? Can I run it? What are the minimum specs? We don't know yet. Will Cyberpunk 2077 have mod support? Not on launch. Possibly later. If I pre-order the physical edition for PC, what do I get? Can I get the physical pre-order goodies, if I pre-order the digital version of the game? No. You need to pre-order physical to get physical bonuses. Can I play the game in third-person? If I buy the game on current-gen, do I get a free upgrade to next-gen? Yes for Xbox One/Xbox Series X and for PS4/5! What about cross-save? Possible confirmation on Xbox ("pick up where you left off"). No confirmation about PS4/5. When can I get my next news fix? Night City Wire Episode 2, in "just a few weeks.* What are the character customization options?
Can I play without any augmentations/cyberware? No, some will be required for a quest. An example is the Kiroshi optics and subdermal grip from the 2018 gameplay demo. Can I perform a purist (no killing) playthrough? Are there any Cyberpunk books, movies, games, music, etc, that I can look at to fill my hype for now? Subreddit Specific FAQs: Why was my meme removed? See rule 6. Also try posting again on 'Free Talk Friday'. What is 'Free Talk Friday'? Wait, where can I find the rules? They are in the sidebar! You can also click here. Where can I find the last book club post? My post was removed unfairly! More FAQs will be added as they are asked [link] [comments]

I’m really confused about this subreddit. Posted: 14 Sep 2020 12:07 AM PDT My post asking you guys whether you would have liked to have been able to join gangs or not seems to have been removed due to being "unrelated" to the game (somehow?) This just really puzzles me as I see posts titled "I'm really proud I joined this club" that are left completely unmolested. The mod's own words were that it was removed because CDPR already confirmed that we couldn't join gangs. Ok. So why is another post called "let's go third person XD" still allowed? At least my post was a hypothetical discussion, this guy is still moaning about it being in first person!!! It's a double standard to the highest degree... I'm just confused. Are we not allowed to have hypothetical discussions in this subreddit? Does every aspect of our post have to be related to what is CONFIRMED by the devs? [link] [comments]

How long are you waiting for CP 2077 tho? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 10:10 AM PDT I saw the first trailer in 2015, when my dad gave me his copy of Cyberpunk 2020. We watched Blade Runner and he said „this genre's called Cyberpunk. Ya like it? Then, here you go." And when I was browsing some info bout Mike Pondsmith, the video about Mike's interview (and then CP trailer) showed up. All thanks to my dad. God, I miss him so much. [link] [comments]

Watching the 2019 Deep Dive sparked a very intriguing idea that I cant get rid of Posted: 13 Sep 2020 01:15 PM PDT While watching some of the older CP trailers and dives the other night I noticed this short segment at the end of the 2019 deep dive that is showing the various different paths you could have taken for this one mission given the things you say and do, and it got me thinking: Will we eventually be able to psychically map out every single possible choice you can make and where it will lead for the entire story in some sort of branching chain like they showed? If what they have stated about how much your choices, side missions, who you side with, etc... effect the game hold true, just imagining how vast these branches could extend truly boggles my mind, given all sorts of different play styles and role playing life paths we've seen so far. Using this mission's choices and diagram for example, we see what happens when you side with the Voodoo Boys and attempt to hack the Netwatch agent, but how would the story branch off if you decide to side with him and turn against the gang who gave you the mission? Would you not get any more missions from the Voodoo Boys? Would they be hostile to you in various other encounters now? Would you create a bond with Netwatch and open different quests or dialogues biased of that one decision? I have no idea but just thinking of how complex it could get makes me all the more hyped to play through and to replay many many times, making all sorts of different choices and seeing where they lead! I'm sure other people have thought of similar things and probably even posted ideas like this before but after thinking of how crazy this could be, I couldn't hold my excitement in and wanted to see what you guys think and possibly provoke the same thought in you all. :) [link] [comments]

Hair styles / beard styles and the such. Posted: 13 Sep 2020 12:22 PM PDT As I'm playing through The Witcher 3 one last time pre-Cyberpunk's release it got me curious on if 2077 will have the 'hair growth over-time' system that The Witcher has. Has their been any mention regarding this? :o [link] [comments]
