    Hey Choombas!

We don't want to get caught off guard for the launch of the game, as the subreddit already has over 250,000 subscribers. As a result, the moderating team feels that it is time to expand.

If you are interested in applying, please fill out the application.

    Application link

The application should be self explanatory, but if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to add a comment or send us a modmail. As well, the applications will be open for a week from when this was posted.

It is also worth noting that a a moderating position is purely voluntary. The team is run by fans and not CDPR.

Since it's Cyberpunk 2077 Anniversary time, do you guys remember this old Cyberpunk 2077 concept art?

Guys, relax. The game is coming out.

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 09:45 AM PST

Just because we have not seen anything from CDPR does not mean the game is going to get delayed. They are more than likely all-hands on deck for finishing the game and probably do not have the resources for a trailer or another demo at this time.

Don't let pessimism ruin your looking forward to it.

And even IF the game is delayed, it's not the end of the world.

Suggestion - Ambient Long Night mode

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 08:21 AM PST

While I'm aware this is less of a Noir\Bladerunner game and more of a Cyberpunk action oriented game, I'd really like to suggest the following.

I'd like to see at some point the ability to step back and take in the city at night. Imagine sitting out on the balcony on a high-rise apartment with the rain outside. The music plays chill-synthwave music, and you can just watch the traffic, hear the city sounds, the sound of the rain hitting the railing, the city neon lights, and a bustling city below. You know, just a pause in the action; a place to kick back and take it all in.

I'd also like to suggest the Long-Night mode. Some people have difficulty sleeping and put up ambient sounds to listen to in order to fall asleep better. Long-Night mode would essentially be a non-interactive camera set up where you have a selection of points of view to display and listen to the city night. Since this isn't "in-game action", it can indefinitely be night (and not affect gameplay). People could also use this mode to just put up on a monitor for some cool ambiance for a room.

The original Bladerunner game did something similar (though limited due to technology restrictions back then):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xClTppAGe9A

Just as an example, there are a lot of youtube videos of people setting up cameras from their city windows for hours. These things get hundreds of thousands of views. Below, someone took it a bit further and did a city-walk, which has 3.5 million views:

    https://youtu.be/eZe4Q_58UTU

I mean, heck, why not have an on-rails "city tour" you can just leave running, much like the video above but in-game?

TLDR; Have a nice ambiance option for the game to kick back and take a break and truly get lost in the world design.

Does anyone know if CDPR is going to be at PAX East? + Thank you!

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 06:18 PM PST

For the record before anyone says anything about them already confirming they would not attend PAX. They said they will not be attending PAX South, currently, I can't find any info anywhere on whether they are going to attend or not, I've already asked directly through twitter and messenger but so far radio silence. If anyone knows then please update me because I'm sort of planning on going to PAX East but it really depends on whether they will be there or not.

Lastly, I just want to thank this community and the mods for being awesome and creating an inclusive and warm community full of people who legitimately care about similar things as me. It is awesome to hear such strong and thoughtful discussions and opinions (as well as shitposts and incredibly funny comments) but you guys have helped me through a tough time and I want to thank this entire community for sticking by me and just being awesome. Stay awesome and feel awesome Choombas!

"Wake the f*** up, Samurai!" not in the game?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 06:17 AM PST

Today, Lilayah (Community Manager) shared on discord that we will probably not heard this sentence in the game. On polish section of Cyberpunk's discord someone wrote:

to hear "Wake the f*** up, Samurai" in polish... Awkward

    to which she replied:

"Wake the f*** up, Samurai" is a sentence from CGI trailer, not from the game. So, you will probably not hear that.

Additionally, CDPR won't be at PAX South or any other place other than Taipei Game Show. And even at TGS, they will be showing old demo.

    US Shop Support?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 10:20 AM PST

    Hey guys,

I know this is probably off-topic for the board, but I ordered the Samurai bomber jacket from the US store. It says it shipped, and was supposed to be here last week but I've not received it, or a tracking number. I've contacted the support email a few times and heard nothing from that end as well, does anyone know what else I could try?

    Thanks

What are ya'll doing to feed your hype?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 04:48 AM PST

I've been reading a bunch of cyberpunk classics like Neuromancer and Altered Carbon - working on Snow Crash now and some Phillip K. Dick is next. I've been watching as many cyberpunk movies as I can get my hands on too and I started making a playlist to listen to while I'm playing the game.

Is there any info out there about non-lethal playthroughs?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 12:30 AM PST

I know from the gameplay demo that there will be non-lethal melee options if I recall correctly. Do you think you will be able to play the whole game without klling anyone? Personally I just hope they don't make the same mistake the last Deus Ex made where killing people put you at a huge EXP disadvantage compared to not killing them.

    Soundtrack genres?

    Posted: 13 Jan 2020 05:23 AM PST

So what the music will be like? As a fan of synthwave I expected Carpenter Brut and Petrubator to be hired but someone told me Nina Kraviz (techno?) and some hip-hop dudes will be working on the games music. What is known so far? I haven't the time to research, can someone please give me a short answer?
