Yo, Mods, can we do something about the state of this sub? I feel like the current state of this sub is a total shitshow.

I like Cyberpunk 2077. A lot. It's a game I've been wanting, even before I heard faint rumors of its existence. I've been huge fan of the cyberpunk genre since I first watched Akira and a plethora of animes back in the early 00's.

That being said, I really like this subreddit, but the content here is just...abhorrently bad.

I wish I taken English and Literature more seriously in school so I could write better to adequately express how terrible I think the state of this subreddit is right now.

Issues I have with this subreddit in no particular order:

    • I hate seeing terrible quality photos of Cyberpunk 2077 merchandise. If I wanted to see it, I'd go to the official website or partner site to see it in HD. It's cool you got your rockstar, figurine, mouse, tshirt, hoodie, chair, or whatever. But it doesn't deserve it's own post unless it's OC or you're presenting it in a unique fashion.
    • The played out, lame, and recycled jokes. We'Ve GoT a CiTy To BuRn HuR hUr Hur. or "cyberpunk is coming out in 2077!". Not an ounce of creativity. It's really played out and not even funny anymore. I get we have a shitpost saturday where mod rules are a bit lax, but they're too lax in my opinion. Also the super low effort screen caps with paintshop texts...c'mon guys. Also the yellow screen of death jokes. That's played out and cringeworthy at this point.
    • We also don't need photos of advertisements with release dates. We've had that before. Hell, we had an advertisement with Keanu Reeves during the Super Bowl, which is THE most watched television broadcast for the year in the US. Advertisements mean nothing, even if your shop got a cutout with the date. It means literally nothing.
    • We also have the weekly simple questions thread that isn't getting used. I've seen so many obscure yes or no questions that should be in that thread, but they're still rampant. Mods are you even moderating those threads at all? Also the "what kind of character are you going to make" or "what size is your penis going to be" any and all of those questions should be removed. Maybe a character creation megathread that will be enforced? I'm not sure what the solution is.

I know I'm bitching and if anyone wants me to fuck right off, that's fine. Bottom line is, I really like this Cyberpunk 2077, or at least the idea of the game I have in my head from the released materials and really want to clean up this subreddit.

Some ideas I have. Maybe a megathread for delay discussion. Another megathread for character creation ideas too. Shitpost saturday is cool and all, but it seems like it's shitposting every day of the week, so maybe some tighter moderation on that?

Also can we get a "belongs in the weekly simple questions thread" report option?

I completely understand that content is limited right now, so that probably means the overall rate of new threads showing up on this sub will be much lower, but I'd rather have quality threads and discussions to read through that what is currently available.
