    John DiMaggio voice in Animals

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 06:31 PM PDT

In the Cyberpunk 2077 Deep Dive video, around 4:50, the Animals guy who says "something's not right with the big guy up top" sounds suspiciously like John DiMaggio. I just wanted to share this observation here and see what you guys thought.

The music is probably the in-game aspect I'm most hyped about (links to some inside!).

Getting the atmosphere right I think is particularly important for a game like Cyberpunk 2077. Music plays an integral role in achieving that atmosphere, as we all know. Just based on what little we've heard so far (links below for the uninitiated), I think the score is going to blow our collective heads right off. I can't wait to run around cyberpunking to this music!

This one hits me hard. Like, really hard.

    Another super cool track

One of the composers toying with some of the synth sounds they're using

Fanmade remake, but the cleanest version I could find of this track

    Edit: This too!

Putting two and two together, my hopes for 2077

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 10:08 AM PDT

I've been following Cyberpunk 2077 since its first teaser trailer. The release is in sight now, and I've been watching all the Cyberpunk content I can. I noticed something cool, I don't know if it has already been talked about, apologies if this is old news.

Everyone here is probably familiar with the 48 minute gameplay trailer they dropped last year. Lord knows I've seen it way too many times. Think back to the quest at the beginning of that video: V is looking for that woman who has gone missing. Turns out the woman has a chip blocking her high tech life insurance. You take it out, and the medics come along right away.

Now go to 1:15 in this video : https://youtu.be/UjxS9ciNlII

Same place, same dude with the big gun. Except here V snuck into that back room silently, turned on the girl's tracker, and here comes the cavalry. No fight required.

Now who knows if this is a real option in game, or if it was just a CGI version for the trailer. That's not the point.

This is the kind of choice I think we all look for in videogames. Genuine choice in how to approach a scenario. It's so difficult to do correctly, because it requires so much coding and work. The one game I can think of like this is Fallout New Vegas.

It's what I want from 2077. And I think (I think!) that CDPR is on the right path, based on what I've been watching.

It's the story of the game that matters, not the graphics, not the combat, but the story of your choices.
